As someone who have made the Netflix Gerald armour as cosplay I can say you can put it on by yourself. It takes time but you can. And I used you as crafting background thanks for the laughter 😂😂😂

4:10-4:20 made me cackle out loud. I feel so seen XD At the moment though, I am watching while eating my breakfast I really enjoyed this breakdown. I have to admit, I haven't partaken of any Witcher media except reading Last Wish (which was great but mildly confusing since I had zero context for pretty much anything that was happening), but watching you make the armor and compare the book vs the games vs the Netflix series is really making me eye the Blood of Elves book I've got on my shelf.

Thanks! No worries at all, it's not anything I've really gone into before because I'm not really an authority lol. I just really like the design of it! I think it's closest to what's described in the books, and also it's one that has a lot of leather which I really like working with

Less than a minute in and you have pointed out my big issue with most fantasy armor: the necks. We are on the same page here. :D Edit now that I've watched the whole video: I love your takes and agree for the most part. The vibe that I got from the Nilfgard armor was definitely not ragtag. They seemed much more like a faceless empire that is using their citizens as drones, like storm troopers. That was what I got from their costuming. Also, I know their armor looks weird, but as a fantasy setting, I honestly think it was nice to see a new take on armor and I didn't completely hate it. Yennifer's rope dress is my enemy. I love the way it looks and moves. It's a beautiful dress, but it makes absolutely zero sense for her to wear to battle. It makes an impact on screen though, I will give it that. Loved this video and would be very interested in hearing more of your hot takes on stuff like this in between crafting videos. Costuming is one of my big hobbies and I love hearing other people's thoughts on the costumes of TV shows and stuff.

@@Cxizent Yeah... I guess you do have your limits, after all. Any link to that Etsy boot maker ? BTW, you said Geralt hates all armor and that's why he doesn't wear any. In which book does he say that ? I'm asking because I'm still at The Last Wish (the "Lesser evil" story) and I would really like to find more about this.
