I remember watching x files as a kid in the 90s. The one episode that always stuck with me was "The Host". It was a great episode.

The entire episode is framed as if the audience should feel sympathy for a character who habitually drugs and violates women, at one point coming within a trice of doing the same to Scully herself, and yet by the end of the episode this still unrepentant serial predator is rewarded by being driven to a Cher concert instead of being thrown into prison where he belongs. So he suffers from physical deformities - that doesn't begin to justify his actions.

@@wstine79 ‘Home’, as an episode of television, is unique. I’m still surprised it was broadcast, they went deep-dark with that one. Excellently executed though.

My favorite are the Peacocks… this episode was really good, better than lots of horror movies. I still think about this episode to this day. It was an episode totally outside the X-Files scope, yet one of my favorites

I have never been much of a sci-fi person so I basically avoided The X Files. It wasn't until I stumbled across a Chris Carter interview where he stated that this wad patterned after The Night Stalker. The show is a hybrid and I'm glad I found it later rather than never.

The late 80's and 90's was such a great time to grow up. When shows had a 20-26 episode season and you had the anticipation of waiting each week for the next episode. Many shows now are binge-watched and forgotten.

My favorite monster of the week episodes are: Squeeze, Ice, 2Shy, Grotesque, Pusher, Home, El Mundo Gira, Unrequited, Small Potatoes, Detour, Bad Blood, Folie a Deux, Drive, Triangle, Monday, Field Trip, Hungry, Millennium, Via Negativa, and all those written by Darin Morgan, specially Jose Chung's From Outer Space, and The Lost art of the forehead sweat. It's crazy how both X-Files and Supernatural played out the same way. They both had monsters of the week until X-Files went mostly the alien route while Supernatural went the Heaven and Hell route.

X-Files was my religion back in the day...and Gillian Anderson was God. Bad Blood is my favourite episode. It's already been mentioned in the comments but one of my favourites was Folie A Deux. I love the sound of the creature, the distorting vibration and the fact that few people can see it even when it's standing beside them. Nobody can see what it does to people. It's hard to believe that it was saved in the editing with the vibration effect. Otherwise it could have ended looking silly. The new series of the X-files had the episode of the monster being bitten by a Human and turning into a Human. A lot of fun had by just flipping the script.

Далеко взять тоже интересное, там существо мужчина, который без ног на доске постоянно появляется тем людям, у которых может произойти в любой момент, какая-то авария тоже интересное, далеко тоже считай монстр, самый настоящий человек с того ни с того появляется, вот. До этого простые люди были тот, че просто шёл куда-то разговаривал по телефону, он был такой вот какой-то дипломат богатый, не друг, вот этот вот существо появился неожиданно, так и вообще, и он это на доске. Мужчина без ног совершенно, а вот и он появился ему из-за этого с ним случилось беда, и что-то он попал под машину или ещё что-то сбила его машина вообще. Смертельно сбила его.
