I forgot a date update 😂😂😂 Meh on the date date but it was super fun to see how dressed up everyone else was. Honestly I went with the shorter dress but could have gone with option three and a bigger tiara and no one would have batted an eye. I loved how people interpreted the theme and I’m thankful to everyone for their opinion. One of my favorite sayings I use entirely too much is “Life is too short, wear the damn dress.” I’m glad I had a chance to just wear the damn dress and have a good time.

Personally, I would pick option 1 because the length of the dress seems easier to move in, less chance of tripping over or needing to lift the dress which occupies at least one hand. But if your date does not require much walking around or climbing stairs, option 3 would look flashy and SO COOL! Those sleeves are just stunning ❤

If that's how she usually dresses, her date probably already knows or she will reassure them once they meet, since is her thing. I wear long skirts and pretty dresses or heels even when I'm going to get ice cream because that's how I am, how I like to see myself, and I don't mind if my date doesn't do the same as long as he does basic hygiene and has a bit of interest in looking nice (things that suit him, right size, simple color coordination...) no matter his style.

I'm guessing the date's already happened since this is days ago, but it would depend on where you're going. For most, these would be what you'd wear to the prom or met gala, maybe the theater, but in New York. But if this is what makes you comfortable to wear anywhere, then wear whatever. They're both AMAZING dresses! And you would wear the sleeve, bolero jacket thing with the second dress, if you wear that one. But like someone else said, the first one seems easier to get around in due to the length.

If it's a dating app, even more suitable tbh, because you'll never see them again if they think you're crazy just because of the fabric you hang on your body 😂 And if it's someone you've already been in conversation with, chances are they are already aware, so I don't think it's a big deal at all. I think on dates it is the most important to be yourself, dress as you normally would, so they can get to know you and what you like. On the other side, if following a dresscode is what you want to do, then it is important to do that normally as well, because that is still apart of you and will ensure the other person gets to know you and what you value. So in the end, apples to oranges, I don't think it matters at all either way, as everyone is different and values different things. It also isn't hurting anyone, even if it makes some poor dude a bit overwhelmed for a few minutes haha. I know I for one will not be toning down my giant sunflower earrings and loud colours for some dude I just met, no sirree 😂

I know it’s past already but I’d say option 2 dress because it’s best to be that side of you and you will IMMEDIATELY know if they can hang and fun to be around when you’re at your max capacity. It’s better to find out sooner than later. I dressed casual for my 1st date but that’s because it made sense for the location, but I made it clear in dating profile that I dress over the top and did so in my dating. First time I’ve been so authentically myself and I now have the BEST bf ever. You’ll find someone so awesome for you when you dress like this- and it makes dating FUN!
