Whimsical Falloween DIY Mantel Decor • Moon Face Round • Cheesecloth Ghost • Paper Bag Garland

I’m so excited to share these whimsical “Falloween” DIY projects with you! We’re using wood, fabric, and paper to create these fun and fabulous designs!
~ First, we will create a Man in the Moon wood rounder. My wood is 19” in diameter, and I used the website Block Posters to enlarge my design. I found the moon face image here:

~ Next, netting and cheesecloth combine to make the cutest little ghost you’ve ever seen!
~ Finally, we will complete the look with a gorgeous garland created from brown paper lunch bags!

Hi Rachel, and please pardon my delayed reply to your question. It took an afternoon to cut all the leaves and glue the wire. Then another afternoon to assemble the garland. Labor of love!

Becky the ghost and the garland are so special! I love starched and mod-podged ghosts, but I haven’t made any because then I’m posed with HOW TO STORE THEM! Your method is a wonderful solution! The brown paper garland is extraordinary! I do have a question, though. Do you wire each leave separately, or wire them in bunches to achieve your beautiful result?
