I do not believe it is "cheating" when you use anything besides watercolor. It's mixed media, and there's nothing wrong with that. It's also taking the stress and the 'shoulds' and 'musts' out of making lovely, therapeutic art.

Well said! I completely agree.

Love wet on wet. Your composition lends itself so well showing the magic of pigment flow. Fascinated by the collection of pens. Numbered for line thickness is a great idea. Once again I find your intuitive quickness restful as well as instructive. Thank you. ❤

The foreground looks so realistically snowdrifty! It's wonderful! I like the indigo effect and the Berlin blue one. Gorgeous!

When you add the details , your paintings become next level every time. This is a beautiful example of your rapid fire skill set. What you accomplish in one video takes me hours . I don’t really have years and years to develop speed, so I really happy to do it slower. At least I get to do it😊

Thank you for this tutorial. It is just what I needed to get me painting again after a couple of days. I woke up to snow on the deck and this painting reminded me to look at the beauty of it instead of the shoveling ahead of me. I really enjoy your channel.

Really lovely! I liked the original with indigo but I love the brighter blue on this one Looks like Calgary AB right now with the dump of snow we’ve had in the last week - wish it was as pretty as your painting 😂 (I’m living in the wrong country as a person who hates snow and cold! 😂) Thank you for another wonderful tutorial! Hope your France snow is gone before you get home or you might want to stay in Cairo!

When I was young, I was taught, that using white in watercolor is not allowed. White was only possible by not adding paint on the paper. So either we had to pick up the paint where it wasn't wanted, or use wet in wet technique to spare certain areas. I still feel like a cheater when using white gouache or acrylic paint. I also have never used masking fluid. Things seem to have changed around the year of 2000 I think. So before, this was the special challenge for watercolor artists.

HELP, PLZ! I love watching and listening! During an older 4 hr. episode, you mentioned a lady with a YT channel with older BBC series. You said you'd link it, but I can't find it. I tried scanning 4 hr transcript, might rewatch, but thought 1st, I'd ask. I'm in the USA 🇺🇸 and just love all of those types of shows! ❤~Ana

Hi Dianne was wondering about the sketches, it says here on youtube they are free but when i try to get this one it says there is a minimum of 2.00 I am just learning and buying sketches (although not at all expensive) for me would be impossible at this time. Can you please advice whether or not they are free as stated on the videos
