Nice demo Keith, thanks. Probably a daft question, but, how do you attach your main line to the piece of line which is protudung from the tip silicone?
@enjoyyourfishing2 жыл бұрын
Just like you would to a Dacron connection on your pole,just create a loop in your main line.pass that through the loop of your rig. Then slide the loop you’ve created over the tip of your whip,pull that loop tight behind the first piece of silicone,then wrap you line around a few time to the end of the whip and then slide the second piece of silicone up the line over the tip.

Thank you. Well demonstrated. I am new and just got a speed whip with a flick tip...didn’t have a clue ! So thank you 😊 can I ask what length you would with your lines ? On my 4m whip I always do to hand so what length do I go with this ?
@enjoyyourfishing3 жыл бұрын
Hi Tina and thank you for watching, I normally start with the line about 10” shorter than the whip because you’re mostly fishing for smaller fish,the flick tip is soft so when you’re speed fishing you want to be swinging the fish to hand. When we can get back on the river, I’ll make a video just on whip fishing 👍
@derekskinner2 жыл бұрын
@@enjoyyourfishing Sorry to butt in ,,hope you dont mind---but I prefer to make the line 2-3 inches shorter than the whip it makes it easier to unhook and rebait while still holding the whip and not having to move your hand.
@enjoyyourfishing2 жыл бұрын
@@derekskinner I think it depends on which whip people have mate,I agree with you best to fish a whip to hand,my flick tips are very soft so by trial and error I know I need the line to be at least 6” to 10” shorter,depending on the length of whip 👍

Thanks there! What is the tubing you use? Size & type? Thanks indeed, Laurie
@enjoyyourfishing Жыл бұрын
Hi Laurie the tubing I use is just the pole float silicone you use to make rigs up.

@@enjoyyourfishing thank you indeed! Ill try it. Is the line easily removable once finished fishing?

Wonder what the record fish landed on a whip is ? Whats your biggest on the whip ?

I wouldn’t know paddy,I have caught bream,tench and perch just over 2lb when fishing for roach 👍

Why not plastic or metal tip connector?
@enjoyyourfishing3 жыл бұрын
HI Marcin i like to use the flick tip.when i use a whip it`s for small fish,so this method is better for speed as i can just swing the fish straight to hand mate
@MartinTeerly3 жыл бұрын
@@enjoyyourfishing have you seen this plastic connectors fail?
@enjoyyourfishing3 жыл бұрын
@@MartinTeerly yes, not keen on them for whips that’s why whips have flick tips,I only use connectors on my pole with elastics mate
