curly proverbz. HAVE to tell you....this butter was a game changer for me. I hopped u a batch and my hair literally drank the entire container. so I doubled up. used the tea rinse and also the leave in formulae you suggested to quench my thirsty 3b hair. it's made all the difference since they stopped making the original infusium 23 leave in conditioner. I used for twenty years. I was racking my brain to find an alternative. however coupled with your leave no and the flaxseed gel I've used for a few years now, has allowed me to avoid a major chopping off. rimmed 2 inches, so I have 20 inches left. THANK YOU for all your help and guidance. your helping thousands of women embrace and manage, even love what God gave us naturally. I know its hard with a baby under five......I have a toddler too. those of us who are time poor need these recipes. they help. keep em coming.

Started watching your videos yesterday. Today I went to the store and got my ayurvedic ingredients. I made a hair oil and the hair tea, I have straight hair, I'm hispanic, bleached my hair a year ago and it's been a very slow process to healing my hair. I see so much value in what you share, so informative! loved the video about porosity! Can't wait to see the results. Thank you!

Tiffany Bell omg! My hair is looking healthier, shinier and the ends are much more moisturized. Not as crunchy. I no longer trim the ends as often as I don't get horrible split ends. texture is much softer. I use the henna masks, the hair oil and the tea. I stopped my treatment routine for a little while and the difference can be felt. I'm back on my routine! Hope you find this helpful.

I love your channel. Finally, a U.K. hair guru! I love all your recipes. I struggle getting natural products as most are geared to the U.S. market and are do expensive in the UK. I decided to keep it simple. My natural hair thrived and grew as a child in Kenya and the only things we used, 30 years ago, were avocado and egg treatments, henna strengthening treatments and coconut oil. That's it! And our hair thrived and grew. I'm weaning myself off all the Shea moisture and other such natural products and once the are done, I'm going back to basics. Long story short, I love your approach to hair care. Now, after 4 years natural, I may relax my hair, but will continue to use all your amazing recipes!

I just want to say I absolutely love henna I'm addicted to it now and my hair happens to love henna I don't know why but it absolutely adores henna my hair does not like coconut oil so I would have to use shea butter and probably mango butter and then there's an aloe vera butter that is really really amazing I also use a little hibiscus and I'm allowed of course and brahmi Whip My Hair absolutely loves I use it in a leave-in because my hair can get dry I have 4C hair but the natural curl to my hair has is starting to really change which I'm very excited about and talk about hair growth I nipped my aunt's which means I cut my end and my Harold seems we going crazy it loves all of it and I use peppermint and I use tea tree because I have an itchy scalp but I love love love your show I love your channel so so much because I become a naturalist for my hair I return to Natural things for my skin like I make a wonderful wit black soap for the body and for the face especially because I'm acne-prone and I absolutely love it it just makes me feel so good and I use a little cocoa butter I'm making cocoa butter and henna a whip for my skin and just my own skin because I live in the state of Michigan and it gets extremely cold here but it gets dry I use it for my elbows feet and I'm a martial artist and everything I just love the smell of henna I am in love with Hannah thank you for teaching me how to make naturally infused henna oil now my mother has platinum blonde hair she is a natural redhead but she went to platinum blond how do I make something using henna that will not change its color I was wondering if I could use brahmi to just pick her hair out but my hair is thick already and this is just taking my hair to a whole different level of thickness and my hair I love it everytime I take it down is Grant's grown stronger I am seeing less shedding now that I'm really incorporating the brahmi I'm definitely seeing less shedding and amla goodness and I'm just loving it I'm I'm loving but my hair is doing and I love ashwagandha I just unloading all of it just all of it thank you so much you are amazing be blessed and just keep teaching I'll keep learning

Decided to try this for my high porosity hair. Basically used equal parts castor, olive, avocado, and coconut oils, and doubled the oil batch to keep as hair oil, then after separating half, I used the other cup of blended oils with 2 TBSP each shea and cocoa butters. I did add my peppermint and rosemary oils because they lift my spirits so well. Now I have this delicious peppermint chocolaty smelling goodness that I'm impatiently waiting to cool, but my ends seem to LOVE IT!!!

@@lucyoforka2315 it was a big N O for me. I had to wash my hair several days before my regimen schedule because my hair felt sooo dry and hard. I told my husband “babe I think I messed my hair up”. He was like naw you’re really into this you know what you’re doing and what to do. I was like you’re right let me get some moisture back into my hair so it was like the 2nd day of the butter being in my hair and I washed it out and did a moisturizing DC. I LOVE henna I just did a henna mask two weeks ago and felt immediate results. Not sure why the infused butter didn’t work. I’ve even used henna infused tea but then again I used it underneath a deep conditioner. I can’t recall what all I used during that wash day but I know enough now not to use too many strengthening products in one wash especially without adding any moisture back in. Our hair journey is just that a journey with trials and errors and that butter was my first T&E so glad it wasn’t a devastating one but sis I was 😱 scared...

@@lucyoforka2315 yep that’s about how often I’ll do the full mask. When I used the henna gloss bars I used every week. I felt more benefits from the mask in that one use than I did from all of the glosses.

This past weekend, I infused henna in shae butter, mango butter, avocado butter, coca butter as well as carrier oils(sweet almond, coconut, castor, olive and jojoba) and essential oils(Rosemary,tea tree, peppermint, eucalyptus, winter green and healing oil) as well as flax seed gel. I have never seen henna mixed in a butter it was a sporadic experiment, one I am very proud of. Hi! @@onyeka97 I've been going online to see the makers of Henna. Even though some sell it as 'hair dye', as long as it is 100% henna powder--that will work. Body Art Henna powder is a higher quality, but I've used just 100% henna powder that was sold for hair use and it works amazing. The common one in the green box--that works great. I've used at least 3 different companies and got great results. --Iset

+Brown Rose How does your hair feel after using it? Do you was it out after use?
@brownrose13879 жыл бұрын
+StarChick97 it feels like normally would after using cream, but as we know the herbs can cause drying so it's not to be used everyday. I did notice some drying so after About a week later I applied my oil mixture, which is the same recipe that Curly proverbs makes on her "how to steam hair w/o a steamer" video. I have noticed more fullness in areas I had sparse hair..like my edges.
@MrsAllaysia8 жыл бұрын
+Brown Rose could I add oils into this recipe to help with drying? And how do you use yours? Does it really helps with growth?
@TheCharlaB8 жыл бұрын
+Allaysia Wilson I think u can add extra oils as u like. The main purpose is to have a creamy sub for henna. I use it on my scalp and hair. Not a lot, maybe every couple weeks. I also use it as a pre poo. Henna is drying. If your hair is not in the habit of henna I would strain out the herbs. You have to condition with this. I can't really say it has contributed on growth. Only because i recently took down braids of 4 months so I had lots of growth and always have so it probably helped. I have used all of her henna recipes in the past and definitely my hair is fuller and stronger, and it has helped with slowing gray.

When I make my oil, I don’t strain the powder. However, I let it sit in a closed container for a couple of days and the powder will settle at the bottom. Then I’ll only transfer the top of the oil to a different container and throw away the powder that settled at the bottom.

Lisa Kinston hey love allow the oil to infuse for 8 hours to a week then drain the powder from the oil before whipping. Use starting twice a week up to a max of 4 x a week xox hope that helps
@Golden_Journey8 жыл бұрын
Curly Proverbz thank you so much for responding. My question is to drain the powder I have to liquefy the mix again right? That sounds obvious but I just want to make sure that's what your saying.

_prayerprincess K Glad you asked, I didn't catch the draining instruction.

I didn’t see her drain it I missed it but then I read she said to drain it but I wish she would’ve showed that step. If I didn’t read the comments I would’ve just went to putting in the Shea butter

Curly Proverbz hey my beautiful BFF BESTIE... I love this idea, I was just thinking of doing this in my soap that I make. Thanks for beating me to the punch.. LOL. Does this feel grainy attall? Bcus some of the herbs are kinda grainy in my oils. What do you think about straining it slightly? Holla back? ❤

I saw this video a long time ago and use shea butter as a staple, but finally want to try it henna-infused. However did I miss a part of this where it is strained?? Does anyone have details on when to strain, best straining methods? I would think this would be quite a gritty mixture if the herbs are left in (I use Ayurvedic herbs a ton but have never left them in any mixture I make... never made a butter with them so tips are hugely appreciated)... Thx!!!

Yes you'r suppose to strain the powders after melting them down with the Coconut Oil and then add in Shea BUTTER and whip together🤗🤗

Hello! Happy New year 🎉I've been a fan for the longest. I saw this video five years ago but at the moment I didn't need to do this butter. Now my hair has gone very long and I always need new things to put in it. I have low porosity hair and I see that this infused henna has a lot of protein. I have two questions? Question number how many times should I put it knowing that I'm low porosity? Question number two can you keep this infuse head up at room temperature. I've been watching your videos for a very very long time and also been purchasing the Belle organic products. I hope you can reply because I will like to make this as soon as possible. Thank you very much and God bless 🙌🏾🌹👌🏿🙏🏽

Linda Anyanwu from the other comments I read and how she use her oil mix I believe it’s supposed to be used as a moisturizing cream. Just like her henna oil mix is used as a sealant.

Love the video, enjoying your recipes. Just curious though about the cast iron pot? Would an enamel pot better maintain the integrity of the ingredients? just random thinking. I'm gonna halla...random..re being Ghanaian...lol...family ancestry traced to Ghana, I'm Caribbean but we had a reunion some years ago and connected with Ghanaian relatives, was so awesome that there were some that actually resembled..KrayKray but cool!
@CurlyProverbz9 жыл бұрын
brendakrp Oh WOW!! That is seriously beyond amazing to be able to trace your family tress to another land... bananas!!!! You are possibly right about enamel pots to avoid leaching with acidic ingredients or at very high temperatures but at these relatively low temperatures it should be fine providing you use a heavy bottomed pan. An enamel pot would be the ultimate though I did not have one to hand :)
