How to make an extremely easy whipped hair and skin cream using mango butter, cupuacu butter, lots of aloe vera gel, and nutrient-rich oils! You'll also find cocoa butter and kokum butter in this recipe, along with vitamin E , argan oil and castor oil! This recipe does NOT contain coconut oil or shea butter for those who do not like that in their hair. You can customize, sub or add, any ingredient in this mango and cupuacu hair butter cream recipe to make it perfect for your hair! I hope you enjoy, Xo! Nap
ps. The aloe vera gel used in this recipe is "Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera Gelly" it comes with a preservative already in it, and is made with 99% aloe. If you use a pure aloe vera gel or juice, you'll need to add a preservative to it, OR mix in small batches, storing the rest in the fridge. I avoided this issue by using the Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera "Gelly" product with a preservative already inside. It's the green plastic container in the video, and can be purchased at WholeFoods! Xo!

I know you have a lot on your plate, but consider that for a future endeavor because your research and homemade recipes which explain the value add for each ingredient gives hair LIFE!!! #ThankYou #IWouldBUYForSURE!!! #AddAnotherBusinessSuccessUnderYourBelt!!!

Why don't you sell these homemade/handmade products? It's sooo scare for us (regular people) to invest in all these oils without knowing how they will react with my hair. I always want to try to make your products, but I'm soo scared to purchase the arsenal of oils I chicken out before I leave for the store. Please consider selling your wonderful goodies. Even at a sample size, I (we) would buy.

One of the reasons your videos are so valuable to me is that you explain the reasoning behind your ingredient choices. It becomes customizable that way. We learn about the specific properties and we can go find other things that have the same benefits but are cheaper or more suitable to our specific experiences and textures. That's education and celebration of differences (economic, hair texture, learning styles). In the middle of crazy social times, thanks for being a teacher and collaboartor. Peace to You Whitney! Please keep teaching.

Hey Whit, can you do an update on how this new butter is working for you? Is it better/more moisturizing than the whipped shea butter (I've been using that recipe since the moment you uploaded it way back when). Thanks to you, I've become obsessed with Aloe Vera and the fact that its included in this mixture, even though I'm not coconut oil sensitive, got me reallly wanting to try it ... although I'm probably going to have to slowly obtain all these ingredients lol. Are their any cons or side-effects you've noticed??

I am not sure if this will be help to anyone, but... What I do normally to get a smooth shea butter is I go to Target or Walgreens, buy the 100% Raw Shea Butter from the company Shea Moisture. Then, I melt it at home in the microwave in 30 sec intervals, put three big pumps of sweet almond oil in it (about 6-7 tbsp, I would say), freeze until solid, then leave out in room temp for about 2 hours. I know it's a lot of steps, but the Shea butter is not really going to be a good texture before melting and mixing with the oil. This usually gives a silky, nice textured oil that *hopefully* is actually 100% shea butter. I suggest doing that before actually using it in the leave in conditioner recipe of this video.

Thank You!!! Definitely going to try this recipe! I can't wait! I've been shopping around for a hair moisturizer and wasn't happy with the products at stores--full of alcohol and perfumes. I'm so glad I decided to wait and do some research for a DIY formula. My hunch paid off! Your recipe is all natural and full of healing oils and butters. It looks easy enough to make and I can reuse all the ingredients over again to make more without breaking my bank! Thanks again for all the research and hard work you put into making a quality, natural hair (& body) moisturizer!(...that's not only good to my hair & body but, also to the environment!) I really had a moment at the end looking at the finished product! Lol. I was going to ask which venders you use because I need to purchase a couple of the butters, but it's in the description box👍🏾😁. Reading is fundamental. Tfs!

I finally made this butter. I love it! I use it on my face, hair and all over. My face has become more clear and the fine lines are gone. My hair is so moisturized and not greasy. A little but goes a long way. My batch has lasted about a month. It made about 10 to 12 ounces. I have not refridgerated. It has not gone rancid or molded. It still has the sweet smell of the cocoa butter. Once you make it and people at work or where ever see your skin and hair, they will beg you to make them some. I have been offered up to $50 to make a person a batch. I give them about an ounce and tell them they have to make their own. Not my recipe to sell! Go visit Naptural 85 on KZbin or her Melanin website!

What's funny is that I have all of the oils and none of the butters, haha. I would still like to try this though - coconut oil makes my hair crunchy if I don't wash it out immediately so it's relegated to prepoos only, and shea butter's too thick for me. Thanks, Whitney!

Couldn't resist - got my ingredients and made this today! Used everything but the rosehip oil. Thank you so much for doing the measurements in grams - I bake a lot and it's much easier to get a consistent product if you measure by weight. It came out fluffy and looked just like yours, so so far, it's a win! Now to put in some twists... Thanks again for the recipe! I like this stuff already! And it smells like cherry chocolate, which I definitely can't complain about!

Please link where you bought all these ingredients/butters. Lots of “organic, raw, unrefined” oils or butters on Amazon are sketchy and may not be actually certified organic. I’d love to know which one is best to buy.

Paris Fragrances USA - go directly to their website. Excellen customer service too! They respond quickly to emails, within day. Their Mango Butter is refined, so that's why I had to look for it elsewhere. But, all their other Butters are Unrefined. Mango - Mary Tylor Naturals ** You can get it on Amazon or directly from their website. It is organic unrefined mango butter. Great quality!

I've watched a lot of Natural Hair Care Ladies on KZbin. And YOU are by far my favorite! ❤️ No one comes even close. I really enjoy your bubbly spirit, educational instructions, I mean you don't miss a beat. You throw down so much knowledge about the ingredients! You also have better quality videos than everyone else. Your editing is on point. I love your background music and you make me laugh hysterically sometimes with the things you say and do. Your facial expressions are classic, especially when you are testing products. And I love your sweet baby boy Theo. I want to just scoop him up and snuggle him. I'm a baby nurse so I might be just a little too excited about him. ❣️I'm so happy that you have over 1M subs and that you launched your product line Melanin, which we've all been hoping you'd do for years. 🙌 Congrats on its launch and I'm praying for many blessings in the future. 🥂🍾 You deserve the Best. You've been around a long time and have earned every success. You have a loyal fan and supporter here! Hugs ~ ❤️ 😘 🤗

I used mango at 52g and shea at 15g and added all of the other oils that you used and I used rosemary and lemon as my essential oil and homemade flaxseed gel (I added my own preservative) and I love my hair!!!!!!! It is unbelievable! I've never seen it this hydrated and beautiful before! Thank you!!!💜💜💜💜

You threw in everything but the kitchen sink. I have all ingredients except kokum butter and capuachu butter. This is a recipe right up my alley. I make hair growth oils with like 10+ ingredients. My philosophy is the same the more nutrients and benefits at once the better. I will definitely be making this. I'll probably add a capsule or 3 of sea buckthorn. I'm always glad to discover new butters and oils.

what the cost for each product? I have one income, and that's me. I try to follow all you do. which have been a success for my hair. I have purchased the trade joe's tea tree shampoo and conditioner... the shampoo I am not a fan of, due to the tingling made my scalp very sensitive. The conditioner I did a co-wash, it was great. I also made the wonderful oil!! I would like to get rhassoul and the African shampoo. but I would have to get all the ingredients myself. I said that to say this I love what you are doing, I love your video because they are so informative. So I have been following you since you start with your hair journey. twist out, to hair tutorial, head wrap and family outing. I hope to see you at the essence festival next year. keep up the good work.

Idk about everything, but I bought a lb of the butters minus the capucha(?) on Amazon 100% pure for 35$. Olive oil was 9$. It's will last a while tho, I will say. You don't have to go exactly like her. I kno mine was more guesstimation then actual numbers, but you should be able to make a good amount of it for the long term off of maybe $60 or so dollars.

Great video! I am ordering my ingredients from an online store called "From Nature with Love." They carry every butter and essential oils (from South Africa) that you can think of! Including all of the ingredients to make the Mango Butter. The great thing about it is you can order in bulk. You can chose the butters in a whipped texture also. Also try the Shealoe Butter (Shea Butter n aloe mix ) and the Manketti oil (make the hair feel thick and extremely moisturizing!)
