On my model, the lower door panel is separate from the upper part with the control board. I just had to remove the lower 4 screws on each side to remove that panel for access to the dispenser.

Can you explain what to do when you have removed all of the anchor screws except for 1 behind the handle that's the backside of is stuck in that black shield. It will not back out at all and because of its location I can't getting the backside to get it out. Not even my 40+ yr appliance repair uncle knows how to get it out without breaking it.

Is that cardboard shield on the left side of the dispenser really necessary ? Mine was gone but I can cut one if needed. I installed this yesterday but it's leaking from around the new dispenser, it appeared to snap in properly. I'll have to uninstall and see why tomorrow. Good video, I needed a refresher ! Thanks.

Anybody else wonder why they use a 3/16 on this instead of 4/16 (1/4 inch)?

I just did this replacement thanks to your video. I ran the dishwasher and it started leaking through its cycle. Any idea what i could have messed up that would make this happen?

I just did that . I had of course remove the door panel again ,,SUPER FUN , to tighten up the new dispenser more way more.. . I was afraid to break it. I bet you did the same. Tighten the hell out of it .NO MORE LEAK!

@@kathypebley28 we also made a leaky seal at first, opened up, tightened them all much more, no leak

@@kathypebley28 p.s. on the 2nd try we found the door cover can stand on its own next to the dishwasher with the control panel installed, while you run the DW for a minute to watch for leaks. Obviously you need to not stick your fingers on anything potentially electrical during this test.
