So a ground fault during a power outage caused a component {IC chip - Door Lock)} to become exploded on this board. Ordered a replacement and followed the instructions here. Washer is now back working like it was before. Thanks for the video. The circuitry is designed badly on these washers as the "Interference Filter" did NOT stop bad voltage from destroying the main board and there is NO fuse or temporary external breaker. A simple voltage problem or short circuit will destroy the motherboard aka (ACU) appliance control unit. My daughters computer was affected by the same instance and the only part that was harmed was the Power Supply Unit. That replaced cost $25.00 The cost to replace this washer was $200.00 This was obviously a flaw created by design with the purpose of increasing repair costs and labor or artificially increase sales. If they had placed a temporary $5.00 temporary breaker they would make less money.

very logical. My Duet is down now. Going to try to replace the board..... a bit pissed.

I suspect this could be the issue I am having. We had a transformer blow up in the area the other day and after power returned my Duet is making a high hum sound even in standby. The unit powers up and when I place it in diagnostic mode it received a door lock sensor error. When I try a cycle it locks the door but doesn't begin the cycle. I tried a reset, unplugged it, killed the circuit breaker and nothing changes. The display board works along with all of the buttons.

Just a quick follow up. Ordered a renewed control board from Amazon Renewed supply. Swapped it out and all is working. Only thing is I can't confirm what the actual problem on the board was. I guess it doesn't matter since it all lives on that board and none of it seems replaceable independently. Thanks for the video,

Thank you for your video. But not sure it is my control board that is bad. I found that my washer vent bellows was broken when I inspected the control board and other parts. The touch panel was going crazy. It would go on and off and change settings like it was haunted. Would a vent bellows that had broken off cause this to occur?

Had a power surge during high winds and it seems to have knocked this out on a 16 month old Maytag commercial MHW6683HW. They should design this with a circuit fault interrupter to protect the unit. I’ll be putting a surge protector in-line with the power cord moving forward. The red light on the control unit comes on and flashes and the front screen reads 0:00 flashing. Unit is completely locked down. Very frustrating now that parts are so much more expensive and hard to come by.

But mine is still lighting up, and blinks green light when press buttons on front panel. But don’t light up. And the drain pump still sounds like draining I got stuff from trap but where else can I look in it to see if more stuff if in it?

@@samcasson4871 I just replaced mine today. Got a used replacement on eBay. The machine was dead with no sign of life. I replaced it and it's working! PS they make it very difficult to replace.

I have the WFW95HEDWD Model and the control panel has broken 3 times in the past 5 years. It was under warranty now its on me. Once ok. 3 times no. Somethign is wrong.

There is a red LED on the board. If there is power to the board and the light is out, the board is bad.

Mine has a green led that stays solid but there is no life on the control panel even after trying to do the reset. Mine died mid cycle and still has some water in the tub. Would a new board fix this issue?
