Whirlpool Oven Control Board Removal

The oven control board controls the heating and operation of your oven. When these control boards fail, you may see an F1 error code or experience failures such as:
Oven display, clock or electric range control (ERC) is dim or completely out
F2 E6 error code
Fan remains on at all times (even with the oven turned off)
Oven exceeds the temperature setpoint
Oven does not reach temperature

Whirlpool GMC305PRs00 only heats up to 240ish when set to bake at 350. Top element when on broil turns red hot, bottom element gets hot on bake but not red hot. Temp sensor checked out along with elements...no codes. Control Board? Thanks

Can the board completely shut off the oven? Nothing turns on, lights inside the oven when opening the doors etc. Almost seems like a breaker went out but power is coming to the oven and board is receiving power as well.

@@CircuitBoardMedicsLLC I actually figured it out, ended up being the inline thermal cutoff at the control unit.

I have an older Whirlpool wall oven microwave combo (model GMC305PDS07) that isn't working. In the beginning the display panel went dark and the oven stopped working while the microwave oven continued working but without a display. Then without doing anything the panel lit back up and the oven worked again. This intermittent issue continued to happen, on and off. The display and oven hasn't worked now for several weeks. I had a repair service come the other day and the service tech diagnosed the oven and told me it needed a new CCA part # WP8301848. By the next day the company sent me an estimate to repair the oven and added a PCB/Rebuild (part # 8302153) which the way I understand is the entire display panel? They said the part was discontinued and would have to be rebuilt. My problem is, this isn't what the tech told me. He understood that if I purchased the CCA part I was considering installing the part myself. I don't understand why the technician told me what the problem is, only to have their office tell me something different. He inspected the oven and told me what needs replaced after testing the panel, then his office says I need a new panel without ever seeing the oven. I think they are trying to pull the wool over on me. Does any of this make sense to you? I want to buy the part and put it in myself and the tech helped me by giving me the part number, etc. I know I can't take the part back if it doesn't work but from what their tech told me, that should fix the problem. What do you think? I'm not sure what to do.

Intermittent display issues usually indicate a problem with the main oven board (part 8302153). It is possible that the other issues you’ve described are being caused by the same faulty part. @@CircuitBoardMedicsLLC I have since talked to the service tech who said the main board is the problem. Trouble is, the board is discontinued and it would have to be rebuilt. I'm sure one or more components failed on the main board. I'm now looking into where I can send the board to have it analyzed and repaired. Do you have any suggestions? The company I've been dealing with says they can have it rebuilt for $225. I think that estimate would be me removing it and reinstalling it which I can do.
