Whirlpool washer FH error code

Water flow meter was dirty from inside, 3 screws that holds the top panel in place is T20 😁

Hameed, you are the man!!! That did the trick. Pulled the cover, cleaned the flow meter with oven cleaner and it seems to be working again. THANK YOU!!

I came here to say that I ordered this part on amazon and fixed the HF code I was getting on the washing machine. While I had the top panel open I also re seated all the electronic cables that went to the CPU. Thanks for the video! Much cheaper then calling an appliance repair guy.

Well done! I am still working on mine. The pressure switch on mine was not very good, so I took it apart and cleaned it. I did not look at the flow meter. I will do that now because of your video.

I had the FH error. To fix it I opened the little hatch bottom right on front of machine, undid the plug (have a bowl underneath ready) then removed the plastic cylinder inside and cleaned it. Then I put it back in etc etc and error was fixed. Sorry about lack of technical terms but I'm not a plumber.

I found a replacement flow meter part online for 45 dollars, so I won't need oven cleaner. I'm noticing that the soap dispenser is not functional, and I get the FH code, so I think following your tutorial will fix my washer problems -thank you very much!

How did you happen to get the valve off? I'm trying to get it of but it's really difficult to disconnect the tubing to the plastic piece

Hello. I have a Kenmore Elite HE3 and it does not have a flow meter. The hose goes from the inlet valve to the soap dispenser. I am getting an FH code. I have replaced the pressure switch and water inlet valve. The pressure switch hose is in good condition. I also cleaned the tank that connects to the hose. Do you have any suggestions about what else I can do? Thank you.

I was seeing zero water entry and random FH errors. Mine turned out to be a drain motor connector plug disconnected from the housing. The clip to hold it in place wasn't doing it's job. Cable tied the connector in place and everything works fine now.

My Duet Washing machine does not have this water flow meter. It was bought in 2004. I'm getting the FH error code. The inlet fill valve , at one time was letting water into the washer. When not in use. Could that be what is causing the code?

@@hameedwafaAFG well, after checking the supply valve and the flow meter, I opened the bottom panel to access the tech sheet and the first thing I noticed that there was a disconnected wire. Long story short, the wire from the drain pump had wiggled loose and come off and thus no water was coming into the machine, a good safety mechanism.

Just fixed my Whirlpool Duet FH code by removing the top & tapping the water flow meter while continuing the fill cycle. Must've loosen up some gunk in there...next step was to remove it & clean with oven cleaner. (I checked the intake screens first but they were clean).

I had the same problem replaced the flow meter but still has the same HD code after about 7 minutes. I looked at the flow meter I took off and it was very clean What else could I check please let me know

Check your water valve , maybe it needs clean up. If hot water or cold water is not coming enough in time ; it would also cause this code

We took.it apart there's no flow switch between the two hoses. Only a hose straight to the other part

Why clean it? Just replace it.

There are alot of people with low income they prefer clean up compare to replacing part 😀 who likes to spend $ if you can get it done for free , lol
