Gosh, I know this is simple for most, but the use of the "jumper wire" is not a part most would have, or they wouldn't be here.. And, when explaining what to do IF you don't, I have no clue to do that step, and you don't say where to connect the ends to the w/b wires. Just not getting that. Lets assume no one has a jumper wire , U didn't take the time to tell us about stripping down a wire to add it between white and gray or what ever. U already had the answer to the problem before U showed us the problem ! ??????? LOl the back round noise was nice too.
