Thank you!! This was a major $$$ saver and absolutely worked! $25 and a bit of time and it’s fixed. Hardest part was finding the right socket in the tool drawer and then removing the top panel. I will warn everybody…be careful removing the panel as I did snap one plastic clip. Seems okay regardless, just a tad loose on the one side. Pull up and forward (to front of washer) rather than what I did pulling straight up. But thank you for posting this so much!!

Thanks brother- I replaced the valve and had the tube connected to another spot on the backside of the display- your “wait til the end moment” was exactly what I needed. You da man!Also- I feel that the butter knife is the best way to get that play top panel off- I am getting pretty good at that!

Only video that helped this correct "LF" error that I received. If you get the LF error, do the reset first (video has great instruction). Then try cleaning out the filters on the solenoid inlet tubes. Some additional suggestions. When you order the part, order the harness as well as that can be broken during removal. The screws that hold the valve appliance down are covered by the outside solenoids. I bent the plugs up gently to access the 2 bolts. Once removed the clips of the harness are themselves are difficult to separate from the male plugs on the solenoid side becasue the release nodes are buried in the plastic cover. I was able to pull the harness side off by breaking the male plugs from the solenoid (rocking back and forth) and the plugs break off. Then, I used pliers to twist (gently so as not to damage the female sides, so they can be used) while at the same time pulling the broken ends out. If you order the harness, you won't have to worry about that step. As another note, I was able to continue using the washer by disconnecting the underside plug link to the control panel. I could use the deep wash setting, and finishing the cycle with the utility spin/rinse (deselect the rinse setting) and you don't get the LF error. The reset error process is key to getting this to work. From the viedeo (only one that I could find that shows this), the steps are clear. My machine worked immediately (no LF) after replacing the valve. The other hurdle I learned about during trial and error is that the water filters located on the solenoid side can be removed and cleaned (although that didn't help at all). Using a small screw driver I was able to grip and slide them straight out. There are three parts to each one. Final note -- never buy a whirlpool Cabrio/ zero support and zero explanation. This unit is probably over engineered, and this error is widespread. What a huge headache, but this machine is working again (only 4 years old). WTW8500C2 - good luck and have faith, it can be fixed. this video is in a class by itself......

I would like to thank you for this video on fixing my problem i replaced the mother board i tested the connection and the connection to the hot port was busted so i ordered the part on amazon which is around 30 bucks and that totally solved the problem i reset the machine and now it’s like brand new the technician that came over did not even bother checking it out and just mentioned that this brand is not good if i hadn’t viewed your fix then i would have just gotten rid of it and paid 800 bucks for another one and this machine is less than 4 years from costco Many thanks again

Great video and information. It just might be the valve that's not working any more. I'd love to have the service manual, but really don't want to take it apart for it. haha My diagnostics so far are... 000 locked, 001 nothing, 002 got hot water, 005 got cold water 006 & 007 nothing, not sure if they are anything, 008 drained, 012 spin, didn't work. I've even checked it plugged into another outlet in case it was low voltage. The high pressure tube looks like it is connected just fine. Next... I'm poppin the top off.

I think my water level pressure switch needs to be replaced, but I don’t know how to get to the switch that the hose you reconnected is. My symptoms are that the water level doesn’t fill enough, but i replaced the valve and tested that there is no clogs in the hoses.

Mines filling up with water and once it’s done filling the washer won’t start it’s just makes like a humming noise and the drum slowly is turning was this one doing that?

Nice RO system from brs. I built mine myself but basically used their platform. I've recently been having issues with my washer/dryer combo (stackable) and I'm getting absolutely no water out of the cold water valve/tap and I'm only getting tap water temperature from the hot/red side. So I've concluded that since there were "repairs" done to the downstairs apartment recently, that I have no access to, someone messed something up somewhere. So I'm just going to run temporary lines to the machine itself where I know h/c water is coming from.

Check that hose on the back to make sure it's not leaking or damaged. It literally controls the pressure out of the wall into the washer.

My daughter has one of these horrible machines. We have cleaned the contacts on the control panel over and over. Finally bought a new used panel. Then it would start but gave the LF code. I thought it might have been the shutoff switch so we ordered one; should be here tomorrow. But now I watch this video….. if I accidentally bumped that hose off, I’m going to feel pretty stupid.

The clear tube wasn't your problem. It's not a high pressure sensor. It's a tube that goes to the water level pressure switch on the circuit board. It would still fill with water if it wasn't connected. It would just overfill from not being connected.

You have to hold the start button down longer than you did. It made that double tone which means your button press was too quick.

Holy crap my man. I've been an electrician for 35 years. Go easy on things when you work on them. I would fire someone for jamming and twisting a screwdriver into those electrical connecters. And the way you jammed the putty knife into the lids retaining clips. Ouch

The F3E2 Error Code indicates that there may be an issue with the Temperature Control sensor. Try resetting the washer/dryer by unplugging it from the outlet for at least 1 minute, and then plugging it back in.
