Can we have an update on how Jasons rfid implant is. Do you use it? Did it heal up good? Would you recomend getting one (or maybe two)? - maybe make it as a short just like 1-2 minutes, would be nice to hear/watch :)

I got one after seeing the episode. A scar remains, but that may be my fault. I have it link to an online album of my Fiance and I. And I'm considering getting an RFID read/writer so I don't have to use my badge at work. I got the 2-in-1, similar to how Deviant has one of each type of frequency in either hand, I have both in one. In my day-to-day life it never caused any trouble so far. It doesn't hurt any more to hit my hand against a door or whatnot. It remains easily readable and usable. I don't recommend installing it yourself. It's not that expensive, and there's more and more places willing to do it for you. This is meant to be permanent, spend a little, save on a scar/possible infections. Would love to answer any more questions anyone has.

​@@megaman6710 Thanks for the comment ;) Yeah i found a place 1,5 hours from where i live that installs them for around $50. In the beginning I was thinking about doing it myself, but my artery is annoyingly right where you'd normally get it installed, so I want someone else to do it, so they can make sure it doesn't cause issues there. I would recommend getting the blue rfid scanner you can buy on amazon/ebay, they're 20-30 bucks and for rfid they work just as well as something that's +100. I cloned my work badge to a ring I bought, but I'm now also wanting to get an implant instead of the ring - also a 2 in 1, work badge for the rfid and then a business card-link maybe a linktree for the nfc. Is your implant the one from dangerousthings (the 2 in 1 would be the NExT) or where did you buy it from? :)

I had the 2+1 (NExT frome DT for those familiar) installed in my left hand between thumb and forefinger (commonly referred to as L0) in Summer 2020. Had a vet tech friend install it. Minimal scar, no issues. Reads great. I currently use it to log into my computers with the KBR1 device DT sells. I was going to link my office fob, but I work from home now so I don't really use it for much anymore 😂 I do have a virtual business card loaded onto it and can occasionally convince people to scan the chip with their phone so it sends them my information.

@@xRawp Yup! The NExT from DT is what I got. It's still fun to idly make it poke out a bit haha. It never feels like it is going to shatter, I placed it in the squishy area between the thumb and index finger. Anything that could hit with enough force to shatter the glass, would probably be bad enough to shatter my thumb/index finger. So it's probably not something I'd worry about, just a little extra glass a surgeon would have to pick out after a major accident. I want to encourage you, and anyone else reading, to get it installed professionally. I read up on all the forums, and watched all the videos, even from DT himself. While I was prepared in terms of steps-to-do, nothing prepared me for the sudden feeling of "Oh, I am now going to stab myself with this big-ass needle." And I don't want anyone else to go through that.

Keep in mind: Always be mindful when mixing an upper (nicotine) with a downer (alcohol). The increased metabolism of the upper (the cigar's nicotine) causes the absorption rate of the downer (once again, the alcohol) to be MUCH faster, and therefore, it hits far harder than you would expect. Three cigars would be enough to make TWO drinks overpowering to most people, much less four(?), like Brian had. I guarantee he wasn't prepared for the rush of alcohol he was about to hit from that, especially when you take into account how much bigger Rex is than him. XD

Okay as a biologist/biotechnologist dual graduate. You got it half right. The issue with uppers on downers is that the increased level of norepinephrine and dopamine in the brain from reuptake inhibition or release increase can mask the downers effects. This means that if say you did methamphetamine you might be able to drink 10 vodka shots and still be buzzing wild. But then suddenly as the meth wears off you will passout and get hit with the depressant effects of the downer. Nicotine is not strong enough except in the totally stimulant naive to ha e any effect on alcohol. Perhaps you might not notice half of a beer. But otherwise Nicotine is so weak and short lived in the brain

@@Aztesticals In my experience the rush is stronger when I’m smoking a cigar meant to be inhaled like black and mild and I have it with a brown drink like Hennessy or Jose cuervo. Tho like you said it is short lived and usually leads to slight nausea. The nausea can be avoided tho with bud.

I'd say it likely had a lot to do with the cigar - some tobaccos are more "punchy" than others, as they said, and their nicotine content can absolutely affect you more harshly than others. Even a couple puffs from a mid-strength cigar can leave you with an urpy, gassy, wanna-vomit feeling, paired with antsiness and agitation - nicotine overdose for those who don't have or haven't built up a tolerance. I prefer a light smoke, something sweet, not too intense, Especially if I'm having a drink with it. It also doesn't help that Brian keeps trying to turn sipper drinks into shots. I really wish this episode had been more structured, more "this variety of X pairs well with Y, this mix of Q & R are TERRIBLE, etc." than "let's just fuckin' dig in!" Newbies and the uninitiated, those who don't know simply because they don't have much experience with intoxicants, are going to make themselves sick and miserable by pairing up a harsher or higher proof drink, with a tobacco of a high nicotine content or smokes like a campfire like a Scottish blend or a Latakia.

Brian, in through the nose, out through the mouth, at least 3 times before breathing normally, drink some chilled water immediately! You can get anything down that way. Ask me how I know.

Honestly, the peer pressure from Rex was really not cool. It was obvious that Brian wanted to slow down, he even stated as much, yet he poured him a HUGE glass of whisky and they just kept sparking up cigars. I've been in Brian's shoes before and sometimes you really do need to be firm -- know your limit, stay within it.
