Great video 🙏🏽🙏🏽, Canada worth a mention in whiskey nations as well. And you need to get some Irish next :) (recommend Redbreast, Tyrconnell and the Spot whiskies). My favourite is when whiskies are aged in Wine casks. That’s a great mix, Lustau barrels make great whiskey!

Firmly agree with the aging process in wine casks. ( wine is involved once again😁). Will expand my whiskey tastings and definitely examine the Irish market👍

Bourbon uses different grains than European whiskies. It’s corn, rye, and malted barley instead of just barley like scotch. Also, by law bourbon must be aged in brand new oak barrels while European whiskeys can be aged in previously used barrels. So, it’s all pretty similar but there’s a BIG difference in flavor.

I mention the platinum in the video. The label has changed from platinum to 18 year old , you can’t find the platinum anymore. Whoever has it and has kept the bottle unopened is lucky

Jack Daniels isn’t a bourbon. It’s made and aged in Tennessee. A very fine whiskey but in order for a whiskey to be a bourbon, the whiskey must be aged at least 1 year in Kentucky, among other qualifiers.
