My family was displaced by the Missouri River Valley project. They're mentioned in a book about it in the Library of Congress. So I certainly feel the sentiment.

Both sides of my familly was affected by the damming of the Savanahh River in SC. I found my 3rd great grandfather's old homeplace deep in some woods on what is now government property. Only the foundation is left now, along with his grave. There is a write up on him in a local history book on how he and his familly survived the aftermath of the Civil War. Crazy how times change and and brushed aside.
