Horst, I love your reviews. I couldn’t help but getting out there and get me a bottle myself, this blend in my opinion outperforms the Chivas royal salute as it’s richer and more complex than the latter. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I'm Chinese. I recently drank Cognac. I want to try the difference between Scotch whiskey and Cognac. Who can tell me?

Cognac must be distilled twice and matured for at least two years in French oak barrels. Whisky can be distilled two or three times and needs to be matured for at least three years in oak casks.

Sounds nice, but these days ~$150 for a 40% blended whisky just screams 'ripoff'. At least with the Green JW does 43%. In my mind making a luxury 21 year whisky at 40% (like this and the Chivas Royal Salute) just means they're more interested in the age statement and appearance than they are the content of the bottle. Don't get me wrong -- Royal Salute (and this, I'm sure) is a fine blend. But not a $150-200 whisky unless you care about frilly packaging and marketing.

Reviews are not about the background people. Get over it. I have not seen this in the US, so it must have been an outside US bottling. Looks like a good one from JW. Green is still my favorite with Blue my alternate.

I am curious why this bottle is labeled “John Walker” as opposed to others, which are labeled “Johnnie Walker.” I purchased this bottle a few hours ago but did not realize the disparity; upon discovery, I was initially left wondering if it was a generic scotch that was badged to mimic a famous brand. Your review validates my expectation, but do you have any idea why it is so labeled John Walker? Is this done with other Johnnie Walker products?
