I just picked one up too at my local TW, weird (maybe not) how these bottles seem to all show up at the same time. I have yet to open it, but I am looking forward to it to say the least.

I found this hiding in a local liquor store (Dallas Texas area). Bought the whole case (6 bottles). Absolutely amazing. Probably my favorite whisky of 2017. I’m also fond of the Deanston 10 PX.

Did you notice sulphur taste?

@@johnnyjustice9988 me personally, no, but I am familiar with reviews where people say they get the sulfur note. In fact, I have a friend that I've shared this with, and he says that he gets a match sulfur note, but I personally don't get that. Have you tried it? What were your thoughts?

I taste sulphur quite strongly. Pretty good though.

Instead of dumping, why didn't you just add a little more from the bottle? That's what the rest of us non-experts do. Otherwise so jealous of you having that bottle. Nice review.

I added a bit of water and the spice was too intense for me. Either neat or almost a teaspoon of water for me.

Anyone notice the awful sulphur smell coming off this?

One man's awful is another man's wonderful. The sulphur is there for sure....but balances the intense sweetness for me. I think this whisky is absolutely stunning....probably my favorite non-peated.

The sulphuric taste is strong and it is the first taste I got. But it has chocolate, sweet maple and it is a wonderful dram.
