Too bad Dalwhinnie has so few expressions, would like to try some different cask maturations or ages.

I am planning on going on a whisky trip to scotland. I was in a quite severe workplace accident a year ago that made me blind in my right eye and gave me a brain damage and they are currently calculating my level of medical disability and it should give me quite a nice amount. I've barely touched whisky or alcohol since then because you have to show respect to it and whisky is too tasty to ruin it because of not respecting it.

That sounds terrible. We wish you only the best! Stay strong!

cheaper priced whisky he says ..lol. Not here in quebec ! 42 euros in Europe 80.56 euros ($120) in Quebec Canada ! Alcohol is monopolized by state and no choice but to buy through them...can hardly wait for this to change...tired of paying twice as much for my scotch compared to Europe.

Would you recommend this over the Eradour 10 for someone who's new to whiskey and not looking for strong peaty flavour?
@Whiskycom9 ай бұрын
Both are great entry malts, with Edradour relying more on the sherry fruit and Dalwhinnie shining with sweet and heather notes. In the end, it all depends on your personal taste.

@@Whiskycom thank you for responding I suppose it all comes down to taste. It's a bit of a minefield and I'm trying to find something authentic beyond the shiny brands

I absolutely LOVE that you mute your sipping and gurgling, thank you.

I always think this one is ok at first but has a sort of leathery after taste. Mr Lüning is more positive than I expected.

I'd hate to become a repeat offender with these request comments, however I feel I just need to hear your notes on the whisky offered by Bastille, either their blend or their single malt. I feel it's been quite underlooked in terms of reviews
@Whiskycom10 ай бұрын
Unfortunately we don't have the Bastille Whisky in our current sortiment. Should we get our hands on one bottle in the future, we eventually make a video about it.

@@Whiskycom That's unfortunate to hear but hopeful for the future! Happily here to stay in the meantime for these insightful reviews

Last time I tasted 200ml miniature, I found this to be a bit spirit driven. Very sharp alcohol on the nose.
@nepomucen2110 ай бұрын
I do not like it. The worst 15 year old whisky for me. I cannot feel the age here. In comparison to 12's it is ok but also is more expensive.
@nepomucen216 ай бұрын
Exactly... Competitior for the 12s.

I absolutely HATE that you mute your sipping. Listening to the masses the most vile sound.

This unnecessarily over-priced, colour added, only 43% abv Diageo product used to be $105 few years back at LCBO, but now goes for $140 in 2023. Ridiculously over-priced. Not getting it. I would rather go for like an Arran 10 for less than 1/2 the price and tastes way more complex than this 15.
