I’m sure after getting that kiss from Pentious it could make sense why she could be crying, she’s possibly grieving for him, like he may have been her rival in turf wars, but perhaps for that brief moment in the fight of their lives, she probably loved him, as he loved her.

It's more deeper then that. Pen just confessed to her, kissed her, then only mere moments later in a final heroic act and died. In such a short amount of time, from fighting in battle to witnessing her ex-rival and just confirmed admire is dead in a flash. Instant confusion, heartache, despair, anger and sorrow are rolled up into one and whilst Cherri puts on a brave face, deep down she is no doubt struggling to come to terms with what happened and is having a hard to accepting it.
