The 3rd story I believe that those men were from a group of many men scouting/splitting up and looking around for victims and the gun shot was from one of the group of men scouting. Possibly from the men using the gun on the victims or the victims fighting back bc they were armed. So upon hearing the gun shots they knew they had to go help their friend and jetted, if he didn’t leave when he had the chance they definitely would of came back
