I have used Mollys Herbals for years and it has significantly reduced the need for chemical wormers in my herd. I just mix 1 Tablespoon of MH with enough honey or black strap molasses to roll into balls. You can make large batches and freeze. Just thaw them out and give when needed. My goats love it! :)

Keep a close eye on your goats. You really may need to wean them off of chemical wormers if they are being wormed on a regular schedule. We actually lost one of our goats who was a kid from a chemical dependent herd because I honestly didn't know. A couple of mine needed chemicals to thrive. It took me nearly a year to wean one of my other girls off regular worming. 🥴

For living lawnmowers; goats are browsers, not grazers. For grass (and they also do a fair job on weeds& bushes), look into “hair” breeds of sheep. They’re hardy, not need to be clipped, easy to fence with single electric wire so can rotate around the yard
@donna10182 жыл бұрын

I had boers, i fed pumpkins and pumpkin seeds and that did great on my goats. Molly's herbals are great, i found pumpkins worked better in my budget. As far as the herbal wormer, i would make treats to make sure each goat got there share. Including graham cracker with a bit of either water or molasses to hold wormer on. My goats loved that as well. Do indeed look into Weed em and Reap here on you tube, also, she is really good about replying to messages.

June is just adorable!! 😂 you forgot to record lol, we used to have a few snakes and one bit me it was our albino Burmese python she was around 4 feet at the time and I didn’t pull away from her cus of course I didn’t want to break her teeth 🤦🏻♀️ and she let go but it feels like getting hit with a hammer. Then we had an iguana and he accidentally bit me, I was feeding him lettuce and I looked away for a second and he got my thumb and that was like tiny razors so I definitely just sat there and they don’t even eat meat so he let go quickly. But that snake was the last one we’ve had, she was just always hungry cus they get huge! And I couldn’t have one of those in the house with babies!!
@jessicabennett8522 жыл бұрын
We had an almost 6ft snake in our coop a couple months ago. We were baffled why we went from a dozen eggs a day to 1 or 2 a day. We moved him to the woods since he was a hood snake. Just don’t want it eating my eggs! I need to check into herbal workers for our sheep. I know if the animals were conventional wormed herbal may take a while to see results like normal wormers.
@fareebug84392 жыл бұрын
Maybe have a vet come out and asses the other goats. They can even do a parasite count to see how effective the "herbal" dewormer is a few weeks into therapy. They can also advise you on all of your questions and unknowns with goat keeping. Best of luck.
@BroqueCowgirlHomestead2 жыл бұрын
The vet doesn't have to make a farm call to run a fecal. Just grab some samples, label them in Zip lock baggies and take in and have them run a fecal. They can tell you their worm load count for each specific worm, and if they are dangerously high in any of them.

Our ranchhand killed a king snake and brought it to us to see because it was a cross with a timber rattler. It was marked as a black and white king snake, but had the head and venom of a rattle snake. I don't trust snakes...PERIOD. I you guys decide to get a brush eating goat in the future, maybe you can check out the Kiko breed. Less trouble, less hoof problems and less parasite infections. Not to say they are completely problem free, but more so than many other breeds. Why did Nathan think he could talk you into getting that snake?? YIKES!!

Just yesterday, our neighbor was driving by and saw me standing in the driveway looking terrified. She knew something was wrong, and asked if I needed help. “Heck yeah! It's a SNAKE, and I don't do snakes!” So she got out of her SUV and took the shovel and chopped his head off. He was dead and was still coiling up and down while she was holding him. He was 3.5 ft long. I drive up into the driveway and find a long snake laying there. Then, he started moving towards the front porch and was going up the stairs. Oh no you don’t! NO THANK YOU!

Holistic animal care is completely possible I had a boss last year who lived in Germany for 8 years and her best friend is a holistic vet in Germany and France. Thank you for not just automatically deciding to kill the snake despite your fears. It won't just keep coming back if you relocate it far enough away. Please teach that sweet little girl that snakes are one of God's creatures put on this planet to do a specific job and that they have their place here on earth just like all the other animals, it's an important lesson. Personally I will let a snake have some eggs if they keep the rodent issues in check but I understand that sometimes you just can't get past that fear. I hope it's a good outcome for both you and the snake.
