I haven't read any ethics till now but try to put my opinion based on my practical knowledge. I think it not possible for a single civil servant to take on corruption in the system but this does mean that he powerless,as we live and work in rational legal systemhe can do things and get ready to bear the consequences of the same. This helps in realizing the corrupts that its no longer their one side rule and time will surely take its course for them. (Rameshwar responding also depends upon his personal conditions as well like old age,other earning menber in the family, mental health etc)

Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. It is not about studying ethics…it is all about how one thinks through…and reasons it out. What you have said makes sense…do keep sharing your thoughts 🙏❤️

Answer- I sometimes even tackle the question if one person, even the head of the executive, say chief minister can single handedly remove corruption. The realities of the system makes the cordial cooperation with the MLAs and the bureaucracy paramount just to maintain the power. This involves turning a blind eye to corruption for powers' sake. But even in the case of strict separation of powers like America, the president still operates within the confines of the corrupt Congress and the corporate interests Thank you for the amazing videos! Perfect subset of real ethics and exam orientation. Looking forward to more

Taking on corruption single handedly without having vested interest is possible. Yet the charge has to be backed by strong evidence.

Thank you sir .Yes it is possible that even a single person can reform whole system .No doubt it will bring a lot of hardship in professional as well as in personal sphere but we must not forget that nothing valueable is easy .So it all depends on the will power of the person and dedication to their duty , if one is committed and determined to serve the public in true sense then he would never pull his/her leg off in any instance.

Yes definitely, one person can not fight directly to the system, but he can take this initiative by being in the background and giving the potential proof against the corrupted to the media or any big organisation while ensuring his safety and career, sometime being masked is better than blowing whistle on the road. Suggest if add some more point.......?

what an insight on the whistleblowing. Learned a great deal of moral actions, ethics and risks involved. Ans to the Ques: I think a single civil servant like Rameshwar if he follow code of conducts and justified means to bring the unethical practices into lights with his practical powers as a civil servant I am sure he can make some positive changes. about me: I have attented all your ethics classes, big fan of your etiquettes and fluent vocabulary. Have a good day ahead.

Thankyou so much sir for another wonderful session. I like interacting with you in comments since you always write back. Can discreet whistleblowing could be one of the options where Rameshwar can collect all the possible evidences and deliver them to any credible newschannel secretly which can expose all the scam happening. This way he can keep himself safe at the same time expose all the ethical wrongs. ( If this can be a possible option, then what can be its possible demerits according to you sir)

I think single-handedly dealing with hefty price demanding situation like whistleblowing is risky... Need a strong back and group involvement to fight this tower like problem.. Which might involve mightious strength.. 🙏

I think it depends on the situations as well as the virtues the civil servant possess. It is always attested that civil servants r loyal nd honest but tht is not always true as is visible in this case as well. Yes, I believe tht single civil servant can take on the system when s/he is deterministic nd courageous enough to defend themselves despite of the consequences.

Hii sir, I've answer to your question: Sir according to me, it's not about whether it's possible for a single civil servant to take on the system, i think a civil servant should be ethical and in the end, he should be answerable to his conscience. So he should take prompt actions against corruption wherever possible bcz there's something called butterfly effect and his simple actions can bring larger results and who knows, his actions gonna motivate other civil servants.
@ethics101Ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing your perspective. “Butterfly” effect 👍

Good Evening Sir, Sir, Anything that is started from one person to bring the change in the system overall... Corruption is a real menace to our Country from Bottom to Top, I follow my Duty in the long run i get a solution for it as few of the values are involved i.e, perseverance and patience. I do my duty as a civil servant it's an obligation to perform my duties... Which Includes the Expose of Corruption in Long Run... Thankyou sir, 🙏
