Guess I shouldn't have taken a rest day on Sunday lol. Sadly I don't think I'll be hitting resort as much probably til the new year, seems some new meds I'm on have been making my old injuries quite unhappy when skiing for an extended period of time, so I think backcountry is gonna be more of my focus this year. Hopefully the weekends start getting some vis+good snow so more of the peaks can open up. Think this weekend I'll maybe be able to actually ski to/from some summits, been a hot minute since I've been properly atop a mountain.

Honestly, I just go skiing right after the storms. It helps that I can ski any day and not just weekends. I also do a lot of exploring around the mountain. It takes a few years to understand Whistler but once you get the hang of it you can get into really good flows.

Skins, are like a coarsely patterned fiber, which allow the ski to become like a snow shoe. They won't allow you to slide backwards. Allows skiers to hike up terrain, on snow, without taking their skis off.

If you are planning on staying a month+ and skiing more than 7-10 days -Your idea is awesome, but RCR season's pass will get you into 4 resorts, and Fernie & Kicking Horse are among those. If your heart is set on Whistler, BC. I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but a lift ain't one... I always appreciate constructive criticism. Action camera filming is a tricky game. Dead cats don't make a difference when you're humming down the mountain. The only thing that works is the external Lav mic (sort of) but, I don't want to attach a mic to my X4 on my head because It's expensive and would get wet instantly. Even the lav mic sounds shitty when you're ripping groomers hard. I think the wind sounds cool too.
