Oh Barbs it was bloody brilliant! You would loved it. The atmosphere was great. Although most the campsites closed because they were waterlogged hence the amount of motorhomes at the abbey. That is the only place to park a MH in Whitby. Thank you for watching ❤️

Great watch and what a brilliant weekend it was, well, when I say weekend, I was only there on the Saturday, I had intended to also go on the Sunday (I live in Co Durham so not far) but woke up to torrential rain on Sunday morning, so binned it. Sorry to hear about you getting stuck in the mud but fair play to the lads who got you out and I had intended to also park at the Abbey, real pleased I did not in the end. Despite the crowds the vibe was brilliant and it is always such a fun weekend. Cheers Alan

Hi Alan. I had a great weekend and would definitely go again even though it was a busy one. The abbey car park was busy but it was just one or two areas that got bad due to some inconsiderate parking which meant people had to drive around on grass patches. My mistake was just stupid on my behalf so it was my own fault. I stayed until Sunday but didn’t go down to town on Sunday due to the rain (but then that gave me time to edit this video). Luckily there were a couple of land rovers driving around and a tractor too. I managed to get out ok at the end of the weekend so that was a big “phew” moment. Glad you enjoyed the video - it was a fabulous weekend and I can’t wait to go back!

This is absolutely brilliant! Love Whitby and love the whole goth scene so this is the perfect video! I was in Whitby in August but have always wanted to go in October for the Goth weekend (can't think of anywhere more perfect for Halloween!) so maybe next year, fingers crossed! Omg I was getting nervous flashbacks thinking to when we got stuck in the mud in Shropshire once and had to be hauled out 🙈 Don't think we've ever parked on grass since unless it's bone dry in the middle of summer 😂 So glad you made it out and the rain didn't make matters worse the next day! As for Whitby, loved the outfit and looked like bags of fun but holy crap it didnt look like you could move an inch on those streets! 😮 Sure it was worth it though! Hoping to come up that way VERY soon so would be good to say hello ❤

I had to sleep stuck and wasn’t sure how I was going to get out but 20 minutes after I’d paid to be towed out, the tractor came around helping others 🙈 Whitbybis great at anytime of year - there is always something going on and it’s a fab night out - something for everyone! It is always busy too so it’s not a shock but I like to take myself off down the pier for a bit of head space and then you can make your way back through the crowds. At least you know there is always a beer waiting 🍻 Eeek! Give me a shout if you are up’t north and I’ll hopefully be able to come and join you for a swift half 🍻

Hi Both. To be fair, I get crowd blindness (which is why I like vlogging as I can watch back in the comfort of the van 🤣) so I can often walk past people and not recognise people until later 🙈 It was a brilliant weekend and luckily the weather held out for Saturday, Friday and Sunday on the other hand 🙈 Deffo one for the return list - but I’ll need to up my wardrobe for next time!

For me, the wet and mud wouldn't pose a problem. I'd just morph into a 🦇 and fly over the mire. A shout-out to my friends in Yorkshire who attended the festival. That was me in the Volvo and caravan leaving we never got the email saying the campsite was shut like a lot of people didn’t look like the rain spoilt the weekend we just had to go back home. Gutted 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️👍👍

Oh my goodness what a wasted trip! I used to have a Bailey caravan before my Motorhome - loved it ❤️ I would have head a bit of a meltdown trying to three point turn it in all the traffic so a big well done to you 🙌 Next year hey 👍

Many of the campsites closed because of the weather and fields being waterlogged. I said next time I would stay at the aire in Goathland or Pickering and get the train into Whitby. They are both on Search for Sites 👍
