idk why people think core style is super strict it’s not they just try to play everything as accurate and clean as possible, the energy is real and the soul is there. you can tell because as someone who had Marched core style the amount of hype we get in the show is unreal. And if you look at dci groups which aren’t marching bands but they put a crap ton of soul into it,
