WHITE BASS RUN, With Travis Itani in Denton Creek

Another of several trips Fishing early March, Denton Creek, Roanoke Texas for White Bass. White Bass Run starts about February in Texas and can last through April. Crappie also Spawn through this time period. Fishing for White Bass is most productive in the Creeks that have current. White Bass or Sand Bass as we call them in Texas, sit on bottom until they are ready to feed or spawn. Crappie and Hybrid Striped Bass can be found mixed in with the White bass in the same waters.

If I’m fishing in a crappie barg or crappie house and I got a rooster tail could I vertical jig it and catch fish or do fish prefer the retrieve

bassin for life, those aren’t made for vertical presentation, you can buy slabs for that though. Just get a chrome one.

You mentioned a kayak , that look like a nice creek for it . Do you know anyplace i could launch from ? I'd really like to find a long creek to just paddle and enjoy but fishing it would be fun to . I did quite a few miles on the trinity and that was really fun.

Well I just got a ticket from the Texas game warden for “Fishing from Private w/o permission “ parked on the road at a bridge and walked the bank for probably 3/10 mile and got a ticket even though the complaint is the state of Texas and not a land owner? Any advice? Should I contest it? The property had no signs or purple paint or anything, we just walked down the creek bank from the public road under a bridge, and yes this creek is over 30ft. Wide and you could use a kayak or small boat so it’s travelable

The fish are in all the creeks, Rowlett Creek, Hickory Creek, pecan Creek, Buck creek. Just search old Alton bridge, corinth TX. If you’re in a kayak or whatever you can put in right there and fish back towards the lake. If you’re in a boat you need to search for a boat ramp around that area and drive up Hickory

No boat no kayak .. just plain bank fishing . Ill keep that in mind thank you so much i tried rowlett creek but nothing . What should i use ? For sandbass ? Im taking minnows and jigs and rooster tails .. im new to the fishing life lol

Juan P I didn’t realize which creek you’re asking about, now I see by looking at what video you commented on, go to Roanoke Texas, go to Highway 377 in the walking trails by Denton Creek. Just walk down to the creek from there and you can finish that whole shoreline anywhere you can see access on Google maps

Total Redline, The south side of the highway is legal, not the north by the tracks, you could get a focus in there as long as it’s not been raining. You will get stuck if it was raining recently
