We have great luck in Massachusetts with the Charlie Brewer Crappie Slider Grub. Basically a paddle tailed grub. Usually black (dark blue, purple) with a chartreuse tail in the one and a half inch size. We've caught everything from perch to pickerel, crappies, sunnies and bass. And, yes, there are days you could put a cigarette butt on a hook and catch fish! Other days not so much! LOL!
@juanvaldez58114 жыл бұрын
Love, love, love the white bass because usually when you find one you have found 100. We catch them up here on shallow points in our favorite lake, wading out on those points. The lure of choice is a 1/8 ounce rooster tail green with a chartreuse color blade, let it sink to the bottom and as soon as you move it BAM!! Fish on!! Light equipment with 4-6 lb mono, pound for pound one of the best fighting fish!
@CreekFishingAdventures4 жыл бұрын
i have not been able to get into a big school of them yet, but man are they fun to catch

Very good. In Sacramento. There used to be an area in ‘discovery park’ where the American and Sacramento River met. Really trippy because one river was snow melt(really clean) and the other came down from Mt. Shasta I believe. But it was dirtier. Anyway they both met there at ‘Discovery park’. Another awesome video, I love how the two Rivers run together right there and can be so different (clarity, current, temperature, etc). As for my favorite crappie/panfish lure... I like a 2" curly tail grub in a pumpkin/chartreuse color. I rig them on either a 1/16oz jighead or a 1/16oz chartreuse roadrunner jighead. Sometimes I put them about 18" below a small bobber other times I don't use a bobber.... But a slow steady retrieve and they normally produce great results for me. Good luck, God bless you, and tight lines sir.... Hope to see you on the water someday and get the chance to talk and maybe fish with you

I fish a lot of Bobby G. Just love the profile and like you said it's just kind of what I'm used to and have confidence in. They make a very similar color to the panfish assassin you were using and it's call Cajun Cricket. My bag has everything from the Itty Bitty Swimmer, the classic baby shad straight tail and the Shad Swim'r. Also really like the Mr. Crappie Joker. It's an odd looking bait but it works and can be killer on like a beetle spin set-up. I bet a Strike King Itsy Bitsy crank would probably be fun with those whites too!
