The deck can easily switch to a rank 4 deck if you play more Rucia, feel like it hard loses to d barrier but it doesn’t have to also feel like 3 Skill Drain is 100% must in this deck with the lvl 2s being able to turn off any floodgate. You can put in gozen, Rivalry there’s a bunch and I think that’s why the Runick variant has seen the success it has because has you mentioned the deck NEEDs another card (spell or trap) so not some hard requirement but it does need them to play and the Runick engine allows you to draw 3 cards almost every turn if set up correctly. The toy or centurion variant is basically an extension of the toy engine and they mesh well together the main problem is the hand traps, u gotta be very very careful on the amount of handtraps you play in this deck as running even 3 too many can throw the deck into brick city. So for me I chose to lower my handtraps and play more 2 of and 1 of handtraps with 3 crossout, 1 called by and 3 Droplet and 3 Triple facts depending on what decks I think I’ll run into more and the deck has been insane, your able to always stop that 1 Nib that they always have and set your board up with a imperm and droplet and skill drain as protection incase things go south.

Melodious also goes hand in hand with White Forest seeing as the White girls are very susceptible to Imperm and other handtraps like Ash and Veiler. The Melodious Refrain and Couplet pendulum scales allow you to play into your Synchro plays around hand traps without fear of anything. Only other notable threats are Nib and Droll and Lockbird, but seeing how Designator is back in vogue, that shouldn’t be too much trouble.
