Hey thanks to all the props for my well doing and well wishing for my transition back freedom. And for those who made a comment about me being happy and excited . Well let me explain. I lived around so much misery and negative in my life that my wife and i live nothing but a positive happy life. We look for nothing but joy and we smile and stay positive everyday of our life and we keep GOD first and when you do that you find you have everything to smile about..

Dudes who have done stretches at places like Big Sandy prolly feel pretty proud of themselves if they were able to toe the line and hold themselves and their brothers down GP style for their stretch. Good confidence for dudes who've made some mistakes in their lives.

Why does every USP max, even medium- sound like it’s frikken gladiator school mixed with corruption and poor living conditions. Especially usp McCreary- that place is definitely just as bad as the worst of the worst usp’s to be sent to, in my eyes it makes that list and I hate that but it’s reality! Thank you for posting another awesome interview!!

LOVE hearing (usually towards the end of the interviews) that dudes are working full time, living their best lives. Sounds like Dave is on the right track. Might just be me being a goofy fooker, but when I hear the guys say, “I’ve got a house, a car, a full time job, my kids, and my lady, and I ain’t doing nothin’ that’ll jeopardize that,” it brings me joy. Along that same track, when I meet a young person out in the world, that’s already headed in the right direction (NOT using Gangsta Rap as a script for their lives), I always tell ‘em how proud I am of ‘em. They’re usually like, “awe thx Rob, ain’t no big deal.” …but I’m like, “nah, it IS a big deal!!! Keep up the good work young man (or young lady)!!!” ---- As always, great interview Chad. Super fookin’ happy to see you feeling better brother.

Dave, I do wish you all the best now that you are out and I hope you will stay out for your sake and for your family. During your introduction, you said that prison did nothing to prepare you for release. I would ask if you didn't have your GED, did you get one while incarcerated? Did you work at any skills building jobs in prison? Did you attend at least one job fair before your release? If not, I would say YOU didn't prepare yourself for getting out of prison. Too many convicts would rather hang out on the yard instead of getting ready for a life away from crime. Regardless, I wish you success on the outside.

Isn’t Anthony Shea from Charlestown, Ma. Running the Boston car in Cannan? My Brother in-law was in USP Cannan when a CO got killed on his unit. He eventually got shipped to Florence and paroled from there until Massachusetts came to pick him up at the door for a commercial flight in handcuffs back to Massachusetts for an open case.

Every prison needs vocational trades training Plumbing, Heating, Electric, General Construction, welding. Its a no-brainer. Suburban Young men are NOT going in to trades. Our industry is STARVING for rough & tough Construction workers. Criminal records will keep off ONLY High profile Federal projects. Tattoos are totally acceptable, cussing is cool. After 5 years, you can make 75-100K a year...Honest days' work, learning skills, staying outta Jail..have your beers 🍻 with the boys after work. Life is better.. Matty NYC

That's right and it's really hard if you need someone to help you get on your feet after prison with maybe a few bucks or a couch to crash on till you get on your feet. If you have nobody you could end up right back in just because you don't want to be homeless or starving. Scary thought.

“I’m not some crash test dummy man.” How else do you explain your willingness to compromise yourself and your future for your “brother” which the best case scenario is an abundance of honeybuns in a concrete cage? Your willingness to comprise your future for dudes that are never getting out is an embarrassment and just shows that you can’t see that those “brothers” aren’t trying to give you a helping hand up in prison. They are grabbing your hand and hold you down hoping that you’ll never leave with them. Misery loves company.
