Glenn sounds pained as he shares his perspective on being patronized.

Its not complicated. You do not take anything without paying for it. Everyone is tempted, even Jesus. It is the person who is tempted, it is the person who resist temptation. If you give into temptation and take the free offer, that is on your head.

Where’s the burden for those who accept the patronizing? Why are they not called into question? Aren’t they the ones asking, demanding, that the bar be lowered?
@TrillEverything5 ай бұрын
No. Blacks did not ask for no SAT or Grading on Curve. And the price we pay is heavy! Any high achieving black gets questioned as to their fitness. I work with 3 Asian women. They are as average as average can be. I have to edit their work consistently! They are not ever questioned on their fitness for their work. My boss knows it too. It's pathetic. Trust, we pay a hell of a cost!

@@TrillEverything That’s an over generalized statement. Yes you’re correct, many did not ask for it, but a great number did ask for it. In the same manner that many asked for the Defund movement, demanding it, many did not because they knew the repercussion. And those people should be held equally accountable in the same manner Glenn was trying to hold others accountable…that’s equality right?
@playnejayne55505 ай бұрын
They are in cohoots with the performatively guilty white elites who signal their virtue by saying the test is racist and so forth. Paradoxically, these people display guilt for things that happened before they were born while denying guilt for what they do right now.

@@Bizagro Comparing Defend the Police initiatives with Grad Inflation is utter nonsense. Defund the Police was a progressive policy initiative. Grading on a Curve or Grade Inflation has NEVER EVER been pushed by EVEN ONE black policy protestor. You made that up. It's flat out like. Grade curving and inflation is a white led practice that mostly helps average white students. I'm black. I have never heard ANYONE black push for grade Inflation. Send me a link of that movement and initiative. I'll wait. But why would you lie? That's the bigger issuep

@@Bizagro Also, the inner-city crime rates have plummeted all around the country. Chicago murders and robberies down 30%. Boston is down 82%. They only have 4 total murders in 2024. Miami down, DC down, Philadelphia down. Why are teen & young black men choosing not to shoot one another as quickly in 2024? It's a national trend. It's happening under a democratic administration, much like in 2014 under Obama. The question remains. Why do you not know Boston has only 4 murders this year...yet Trump is on stage at the debate talking Abt Covid Crime Rates? It's because people like you cannot see the positives in the black community. And Glenn and John make money making white people feel good about their hatred of black people. They never talk about the positive aspects of African American life. They focus all their attention on impoverished inner cities. You never hear whites bashing poor, impoverished whites, whose incarceration, welfare, drug addiction, drunkenness numbers FAR exceed blacks in population. Again, where are the white versions of Glenn who bash poor whites?

Even in this age, as I was listening to the debate between the two, elderly cartoon figures running for president, they talked about “black jobs” and what they will do for “black people”. How patronizing and condescending.

Glenn himself is certainly fit for equal participation :) The others you list prefer to remain victims of the past, it is unfortunate they are beholden to leftist ideology that sees them as inferior.

Hey Glenn, MERITORIUS EQUALITY is the ONLY REAL EQUALITY. Equality by any other name is EQUITY! And that equity is the fast path to failure for companies who practice it as they are essentially DEI hiring lesser talent and paying more for it.
@rationalreasoning56125 ай бұрын
Well, this is all very true, but it negates the fact that there are many who hold biases and prejudices about black folks that would see them prefer to appoint/do business with/etc etc someone more familiar who may be less qualified
@mechellestewart84395 ай бұрын
Because that doesnt happen in the black community?
@steveedmunds49495 ай бұрын
Do you think being forced to employ someone because of their race will reduce prejudice?
@rationalreasoning56125 ай бұрын
@steveedmunds4949 the point I'm making is that it's not an equal playing field for a number of reasons. Many of which are historical. This is where the commonly held notion of needing to be twice as good as white counterparts comes from within the black community. Not only needing to be twice as good but some feel a need to 'conform'.
@rationalreasoning56125 ай бұрын
@steveedmunds4949 and actually I would say don't go where you're not seen, wanted, valued or valued. There are many opportunities for many black people in USA. They're not limited as they once were. But for the same and different reasons there are as many mediocre black folks in positions they're intellect and effort is not deserving of as there are white folks. Problem is with mediocre white people in positions of influence etc, etc it's always been accepted. Black folks being elevated to undeserved positions is that it's more amplified.

Good, but... This clip finished on the bad note of trashing... liberalism? Liberalism is the very set of concepts that elevates individuals over the group and frees them from historical bounds of station, class, etcetera.... to grant them personal equal rights as human beings. Liberalism is also what is now being abandoned by those you oppose. If you want group biased treatments, rankings, constraining dogmas, repression of dissent, etcetera... you'll soon find yourself amongst the forces who oppose liberalism ... And joining those you purport to oppose. Call it something more honest, or even just blame it on "The Left" . But flippantly trashing liberalism, is sloppily undermining one of your own essential foundations.
