I'm an old-timer in New Mexico and can definitely relate to this song. I've always liked the old, gritty country western songs ("Ghost Riders in the Sky," etc.), which are kind of like the "soul" of the west. And I can also relate to the blues and R and B. I love how the two worlds come together in this song. It's funny how art and music tend to bring us together while politicians try to put a wedge between us.

Kid Rock and the guy from Everlast (his name escapes me right now) has been doing this for over a decade. I love this song. The fact that Was X came out right after his first hit. That's a very bold move. So now people are giving him crap. Saying he's a one hit wonder. That country music is one of the only things left in America that is dominated by whites, besides hockey 🤣. So stupid. It's a fun song, with a legend, and a cool video.
