In animal studies, white noise has been shown to be bad during early development. I think the idea is that the brain is learning how to do signal processing and differentiating different components of the sounds it's hearing, but since white noise has no pattern to it, it hinders the brain's learning of pattern recognition.

I’m seriously so grateful for this channel, and for you. Most “white noise” or sleep noise videos have tons of ads, and ads are not baby sleep friendly. My son is ten days old and will NOT sleep at night ...... Tried this a a couple of day ago ...... And have managed to get a night sleep every night since the only time he wakes if first a feed or change ..... We even have to turn it off when feeding otherwise he nods off to sleep half way through his bottle XD absolute lifesaver

@@juliamassey7643 sorry for the late reply XD but yeah he doesn't need the help anymore but only in the last few week both me and his mother work nights and constant so hes been up and down when it comes to bedtimes finally getting him into a routine has helped massively but the white not was key to getting that going

I can only assume you are being picky with the term 'newborn' and _maybe_ because newborns need to be fed in the middle of the night, they should use the term infant? Yes this is a great channel. Sleep tube is good as well if u just watch the first two ads they have at the beginning than they don't play any. I've skipped them and havnt heard any as well . If I find a channel without any at the beginning... I get nervous that they are in the middle of the vid. ..So far this one is perfect. Ok. Have a wonderful night ♡
