White pine tree? 3 reasons to grow Stowe Pillar instead!

This Eastern White Pine conifer cultivar was found in snow country in the Northeast U.S.
It stays much smaller than the straight species of Eastern White Pine
and it's even smaller than Pinus strobus ‘Fastigiata’ and handles snow better too.

I love it! Great info you’ve provided on this plant. Makes me want to grow it. I have such a tiny yard with lots of tight spaces that I needed to see this option. It’s also native where I live, although it’s a cultivar. I think it will be perfect for some very tight areas in my garden where I want just a little screening.😍Thanks for sharing!!! Also, where did you get that incredible plant label?!! I love it.

I would definitely keep an eye out for Stowe Pillar at local nurseries. It makes a nice vertical interest. The plant label was from Etsy. I wanted more too..😍 but the business closed and left me with my second order never completed. 😮😢

@@FumblingwithFlowers That stinks! Sounds like a good niche for someone to fill. I was going to try my hand at designing plant labels with an illustration or paining of the plant on each one, until I realized I paint too slowly to do so. Wish I could paint / draw faster. Would have been such a cool opportunity. Yours is a great one without an illustration. Seems more realistic to produce, yet gorgeous to look at. Reminds me of parks that have plant labels. My gears are turning....wanting to find out how to make these...we will see. ;)

I've seen them sold and look great when they are small but the only large one I saw had problems.
