Jack did a lot of impromptu stuff and Meg was brilliant at reading him. People say Meg was a terrible drummer but it was her simplicity that Jack wanted. That was the point of the way she played drums. And in my opinion she did it in a very sexy way. They are both very special to me. I miss the Stripes. Come get some Catspit!~
@silverstuff1827 жыл бұрын
CatspitProductions You got it, absolutely. I'm surprised that so many people don't get that. It's entirely created by Jack, designed that way. And isn't it awesome to get this much from just two musicians? The definition of "greater than the sum of the two parts".
@CatspitProductions7 жыл бұрын
I agree. As I understand Meg came on and played the drums somewhere Jack was playing and he was struck by her child like drumming. I think she just started to play drums at that time. But yeah the Stripes is all Jack really. Not to take anything away from Meg ;) And the two together are very cool. But Jack knew exactly what he was doing. I don't see them so much as an alternative or garage band either. They feel more retro to me.

I swear you barely even see his feet move even when they're in frame! Man's just floating there.. Just goes to show you that he truly does become some version of possessed when he plays live shows...unreal..

I saw the white stripes on this tour in London. The moment he picked up this guitar and slide I was the happiest man in the building.

Yep...2004 or 2003. Around that time. 2007 was during the Icky Thump era. But I get it...this band evolved FAST...so it's kinda hard to time things. :)
