I am 76 years old and am elated that you are saying what needs to be said. I have lost 1 son to the events of the military, a son that is homeless and on drugs, a grandson in rehab, a grandson who died 2 days after birth, a husband murdered at a tavern, a niece from drug overdose. All of these events due to non-communication, miscommunication, blaming others for their misfortune and me not understanding the world around me as I was fighting to survive a violent home and finally retreating into my space avoiding most people around me. It was too overwhelming. The few times I tried to connect with my community was met with disappointment and despair. They too were experiencing similar events. I finally disconnected from broad world around me and began to focus on financial security and work. It was not until the coronavirus his that I began to search for answers to "plague" that has infected the majority of the planet. The first main answers I found came from Neely Fuller Jr. (hard to hear and read at first) but I knew what he had to say is true. There is a "virus" over the planet with the most devastating being white supremacy. We respond by ignoring, excusing, tolerating, supporting, denying, applauding the very disease that is destroying us. My research led me C.L.R. James, Gerald Horne, Francis Welsing and others including BRM. I have always been a Malcolm X follower but am still learning.

Excellent conversation. I like Dhoruba’s analysis that we act like victims. We will never gain strength waiting for ANYone to rescue us.
@Gaff. Жыл бұрын
A lot of rightists say that, and it's often a dogwhistle, so although I tend to agree with Dhoruba, I think he could have expounded a bit more on that. He must have meant it very differently. I think it would be kind of ludicrous to deny the victimisation perpetrated by the US state, so he probably meant that thinking of yourself as _only_ a victim, and waiting to be saved, is the problem. And of course, unlike rightists, who are generally saying the system is more or less fine and you just need to work a little harder to succeed within it, I imagine Dhoruba is urging people to stop 'thinking like victims' so that they can think like fighters, organise collectively, and at least make gains in dismantling that system entirely. Edit: well, after watching the whole thing, he does clarify this by the end.

@@fun_ghoul The situation for the Africans in the US is broken by design. We cannot plan to improve our condition because the system does not want us to have self-determination. I don't see much discussion or plans on how to fight back. In my opinion, this requires brainpower, not brawn.

Run by a comprador class to act as a staging ground for US imperialism in an area theyre trying to plunder. I think he meant it as a US mouthpiece or springboard in the continent it wants to have influence on. Colombia is US strongest (most corrupted through the war on drugs) ally in South America. Israel is strongest US ally in Middle East. Like the UK in EU and Phillipines/ South Korea in Asia

@nnamdixrevolutionary88832 жыл бұрын
@@joootooobboosheet2486 for one. Those white folks are not my founding fathers. Two they did not make the amendment thinking about us. They made the amendment because of the revolts that was happening during that time the slavery vaults. So they say yo we need arms. The fault is not the media propaganda itself. The problem is the lack of independent compassionate critical thinking and discernment intentionally focused within the context of virtues that can make one internally free and victimless, instead of vices that invite internal and external enslavement, that promotes and supports the conditioned helplessness that feeds the victim mentality.
