WB's rage was great but I'm not even sure it's the best rage moment in One Piece (Luffy vs Crocodile final scene or Rob Lucy, or Kid Doffy awakening haki vs the civilian mob that tied him and his family). So in all anime, that would be far.

I’m pretty sure at this point in the story Haki was still invisible to the audience. It was established as an ironclad rule that the only way to interact with a logia user was either through haki, the sea or the use of something that is that logia’s natural weakness.

@ Haki was barely prevalent this point in the story. Despite his rage likely drawing it out, Whitebeard could barely use his Conq or Normal Haki in his current state at the time of Marineford. He was likely able to at least infuse it into his DF attacks so he could at least somewhat nullify Logia powers.
