I'm sad for you. I fell in love with The Somatic Defilement and This Is Exile. Hell, even New Era Of Corruption was beast. Self Titled was so incredibly monotone and boring. Our Endless War was okay, but not what I want from a WC album. Mark Of The Blade was more monotone nothingness, and so far... both of the new singles have been more chugging monotone boringness.

Same. Nice atmosphere, but overall it felt really, I don't know, kinda lazy... I'm totally new to this band though, I don't know how it compares to their other songs. What would be a couple that I absolutely need to hear?

@@jackburton3149 Their first album for gritty origins [Somatic Defilement], then the [This Is Exile] album (what many call peak Whitechapel), and if you're liking it a lot their third album A New Era of Corruption is also solid. The debate begins from there on when their decline/transition started, but my personal recommendation is the This Is Exile album mate

It's definitely a step in the right direction. The guitar and songwriting still need some work but overall it gives me a lot more hope for their future than their last few releases

Dude, it sounds exactly the same as the last few albums. The newer single does too. The singles are hard to tell apart. It's all chugging. Guitar and songwriting need a LOT of work compared to their really good shit.
