I saw Whitecross on this same tour. Rick Armstrong and Michael Elliott added some serious boost to Rex and Scott. Apparently Rick and Michael were unable to stay in the band. Scott is retired from the band now but Whitecross remains. Nothing remains the same but Gods never ending love. I'm thankful for being able to see Whitecross with Rex and see them with Scott without Rex. Now i hope to see Whitecross as it is now, still rocking for Jesus. All praise be to God.

WHITECROSS was a great live band. Shame cornerstone festival went under. Cornerstone opened doors for so many christian bands.

Watching this makes me think of the times i wished i had chosen to go see Christian Metal and Rock bands like White cross and more Petra instead of going to see poison slaughter dokken or Motley creu In my younger days. Now all i do is watch them on you tube but thank God i do get to see Petra Whitecross Guardian. and all those awesome christian metal and rock bands plus more. I grew up with Christian music all my life as well as worldly music. but now all i listen to is Christian music No more worldly music.

Probably because they were mostly hidden in the Christian music scene and got little to no exposure in the secular mainstream market. I don’t know how much you know or don’t know about the Christian rock and metal scene in the 80’s and early 90’s but there were a ton of great bands releasing albums and touring but they were mostly ignored by the mainstream market with the exception of Stryper. Most mainstream record stores wouldn’t even sell these band’s albums and they got the same treatment from mainstream radio and MTV. So basically you had to be into the Christian rock and metal scene to know about most of these bands.

Also they didn’t release 17 studio albums. I think they’ve released 9 or 10 studio albums, the rest are probably compilation albums.

In my teenage years Whitecross was definitely my most favorite band and I’ve seen them live back then. Scott’s voice, awesome guitars from Rex 🎸 and the other guys created a really cool rock music that still stands out! 🤩 I’m almost 50 years old now but still like this great music.. 🎸🎸🎸 BTW, current band is a mix of Whitecross and Guardian which is really cool! 👏 But for me it lacks Scott’s unique voice.. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Didn't Whitecross have a video with part of it in a cave with them in a boat and candles lit in the cave? Of course I can't recall the name of the song. I've searched sometime but haven't had any success finding the video. I know this isn't a lot of info about it, but I really liked the song and would enjoy seeing the video again if anyone remembers it. Thank you.

There was no money in it. There was barely money for Rex and Scott. This drummer, Michael, was probably the best drummer on the scene at that time. I heard the demo he sent to Mike Lee (Barren Cross) after Mike left BC and was trying to put a new band together. That demo was pure fire. By that point in 1991, every genre of metal was pretty much toast.
