God has given us the words to pray, to preach, to conduct the sacraments, BUT ALSO TO SING!!. When we sing the Psalms, we are singing through Christ's mediation, not presenting and coming through man's words. As to Baptist theology, the Israelite children were not left behind, but brought through the Red Sea. The Covenant of Circumcision is one of marking, of being set apart, to be included in the family of God. God then, does the saving.

Thank you very much for this very good podcast and the issues being discussed. I know congregants of Emmanuel Baptist Church and I really enjoy the fellowship that comes from them. I was actually asked to listen to a messages by Pastor Ken and consider it. Like Ken and Joshua, I am deeply burdened by the increasing shallowness of todays' Christians. This should not shock us since it was clearly prophesied by Paul in his second letter to the Thessalonians. However, in my interactions with believers, I have found that just the re-emphasis of the meaning of words like "church(ecclesia)" or "service" which is the root word for worship is where we need to go to in our theology. I love reading the Scriptures in Kiswahili because the words are much closer in meaning to the Hebrew, especially and to the Greek. Like Joshua says of worship, our best songs were done in Kiswahili once the singer had the doctrine right. This has quickly disappeared. Even the name "Yesu" in Kiswahili is much closer to Yeshuah in Aramaic that Jesus in English is. Our big problem is the socio-economic class divide that is evident in our congregations and how they see themselves as Believers in Yeshuah the Messiah. All in all, this was a fantastic conversation.
