♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️😊WOW!! I want to give a shout out to Eli for a wonderful job on his concrete work. My father had a concrete business for 40 years, and even though I’m a girl, I loved working with him. It is hard work; it is fast work; very little room for air, and I saw you using the rake remove the concrete around and then the board to level it. I was SO PROUD of you, Eli.♥️, because I’ve seen grown men who didn’t do as nice and thorough job did you did❣️❣️ i’m also proud of your father to allow you to work on this concrete by yourself, and I’m not kidding myself, I know he gave you instructions but nonetheless he’s giving you life tools and skills, so you will never forget and will come in handy in your adult life, even if it’s just for your own home!! Dad, you don’t have to be an expert to lay concrete. Each time you do it, you’ll get better and better with it and you’ll understand that the weather plays an integral part of it because on a humid day, it will take longer to dry and so forth. If it’s really hot, you can cover it with a plastic tarp to help it dry better instead of trying to fast. But everything I saw you were doing since I started watching your videos a long time ago. You do your best job at everything and doesn’t have to be perfect.! God doesn’t expect us to be perfect ❣️❣️ it’s mankind that puts it on us.😂 so, I’m proud of you and I’m proud of how you let the children help you as much as they want to and you allowed your middle son to hand you the screws and washers and it made him feel like he was doing a big job as well. I love the family dynamics I see amongst all of you and I wish more people could be like you and your wife and your parenting style and kindness.♥️♥️♥️♥️ I love the colored peacock that has a lot of mixed colors as well as white, I can’t remember his name… Chemo moment… But he is the only one out of the four that has the markings of a regular peacock. I snapped a picture of a KZbin video to send to my sister and my sister-in-law both who love peacocks and I know they would love seeing this beautiful bird. I think you guys did a wonderful job on the building as well as the yard area that they can get down and be outdoors safely; and I ,too, love the branches that are natural from the tree you hung inside the outdoor area because like your wife, I thought it would be perfect for their claws and what they would naturally curve their feet around versus a 2 x 4 a 2 x 6 board. This was the kind of thing I think about everything you did in the shed and run away for the peacocks. Last, I would just like to say I loved it when the two males were talking to each other in your “young “voice. I’ve never heard that sound before. It was just beautiful and made me smile.😊♥️😊♥️😊♥️😊

I've actually been looking into something like this. We are building a home by ourselves/ no bank all the labor by us and fam/friends. I'm starting over with a new flock. Our old property had an old homemade mini barn/ storage shed. I used it for about 50 chickens. It was great! They even liked roosting on the shelving up high! Plus some natural saplings I cut down. My point is I loved the shed so much I think it would be even better to do one of these kits. I'm excited to see how your weathers. We will build ours next spring!! 🥰 ( Also looking for incubator giveaways that you sometimes do so that I can hatch out some pure bred Salmon Favorells!! 🥰) Have a blessed week Becky, Jake and kiddos! 🥰

It says it will hold up to 400-450 lbs of load on top. We won't get that much in snow. There are 3 metal pieces of support underneath the roof. It will hold up alright for the foot or less that we get each winter.

This gave me flashbacks of when we built our Chicken Palace to house 100+ chickens, with a nursery room, a hallway for storage, a row of bins made into nesting boxes, tile flooring we swept and washed before laying down fresh hay, and a giant run. It's just a shed now; we took the run down. But I remember all those late nights holding a flashlight for dad while he was sawing wood. It was actually my idea to screw on the tile flooring because he was going to make it all complicated and use some glue or something that would have taken forever. Smart little me lol, I'm still proud of that building. I hope one day I can use that knowledge to fulfil my dream of having a tiny home somewhere quiet.

LivivgTraditions just got a neat solar light that might help you dark shed problem. Also in the winter you could TARP a side (or 2) this would create a really good wind block. Then they could stay outside longer. LivivgTraditions also found clear tarps to use. WHITE tarps would also still allow lots of light as well.

Are your two girls Brown Swiss? We used to have one some 69 years ago, and she only had one horn, so we called her "One Horn Betsy". I remember my mom churning butter in one of those old wooden plunger-type churns that stood almost 3 feet tall and narrow at the top.. At sixteen I got a job and our local dairy and worked there off and on for 8 years. We also raised Peacocks and actually ate some of the young peahens. I had a massive bundle of male peacock feathers at home, that everyone commented on. Watching your videos brings back memories of the good life. I will subscribe to your videos as they are a nice respite from the craziness that is going on around us. Farming and Ranching brings is all home. I miss it, even at my age of 78 so I watch your videos as my solace of days gone by.
