@@WhitelandRestorations I'm biassed, as a rich uncle had one in metallic champagne, and I generally prefer blues, but, yes, I can say this could well be the best colour. It does look stunning. Better after your ministrations, of course. And doesn't rot hide well.

Nice job Lewis. To answer others' questions on the BH De-ox gel, I've been using it for many years. It is very good, with the down side that it usually takes several applications, lots of agitation with a strong nylon brush or wire brush in-between applications, so it is by no means a quick fix. Also, you must never let it dry out, that causes more grief than it's worth, I use the cling film trick.

Alas, the footage of the rust removal was lost but yes, 100% plastic wrap your rust remover and agitate away. It gets the best out of the product.

The gel is great, needs agitation and swapping out more soften but if you can't take the part off the car to soak in the deox-c it's just the stuff you need

Seam sealer is supposed to prevent moisture getting into the joints between panels, However if you seam sealer over the drain holes in the bottom of your doors, it tends to have the opposite effect. 😂

Also best not to use it to hide rust 😂 never on bare metal and never over rot!

Great work as always, just one question. I noticed on this video and others, that prior to spraying. You always wet the floor to stop the paint settling. Do you get any humidity problems?.

We wet the floor just prior to painting to keep the dust down. We have really good variable extraction and monitor the humidity level so we don't have issues with humility in the booth. Just ensures a cleaner job. We also don't paint with water based paints so there's no issue 👍

Appreciate that but sometimes you have to do what's best for the car and the customer. The door bottoms of the DS seem to be a weak point being open to water and road salt so we want them to be protected for as long as possible.
