Whitemoor Engineers & more - March 02/05/2015

Highlights from a pleasant afternoon & evening at March station for several Whitemoor engineers workings to various locations around East Anglia. Also included are a couple of clips from March South Junction to take a few photos of the signalbox.

Great shots, a good number of engineers workings you saw during this visit. I wouldn't mind visiting March Station again, it is a lovely station.

Dave NGauge Thanks Dave. Had some major transport issues over the last few weeks, but all sorted now. Going to be on holiday during next month but will definitely have to arrange a meet up after we get back. Think we got there before you did with the 68s!!

Nice selection of workings there Chris, always seems to be plenty of engineering work on the GEML! Shame it was a dull Bank Holiday weekend - I was in the same sort of grey over on the WCML & MML whilst you were here.

***** Thanks Brad. Various points around the Anglia region but most notably at Shenfield and along the Felixstowe branch which was being renewed.

Thanks, I suppose it's too much to hope for a duplication of the Felixstowe line as a part of this?

***** Afraid so. It keeps being talked about, especially with Felixstowe expanding, but so far no money on the table for the dualling. The junction at Derby Road has been upgraded though, and Freightliner's depot is moving there soon.
