Definitely a top recommendation. It was a weekly show so it didn't have "seasons". And it's over for now but the manga is still ongoing, the movie teaser dropped today, and there's hope the series will return. The beginning is a bit stop and go and the MC shouts a lot at first, which caused a lot of people to drop it early on. But somewhere around episode 20 or so, the shouting decreases and the pacing gets more fluid. Definitely worth hanging in there for because each arc is better than the last!

Black Clover has 170 episodes, and then it stopped, but story is not finished, they decided to put it in a hiatus until there is enough manga to do new seasons instead of filling it with filler episodes.

@@michaelseifu3212 i personally would, obviously there are some differences because of the time it was made and censorship of the anime. so i would say to read the manga at a comfortable pace and supplement and aternate that with a fights and arcs of the anime at your pleasure. the MC is different in nature since he doesn't have a "hokage/pirate king goal" but focuses on gaining power for the sake of protecting his family, friends, city, as the plot unfolds before him instead of him chasing plot. his friends receive plenty of development and no one really is left behind for long and all girls have distinct female personalities. if you liked asta/licht with his sword and powers then bleach will definetely be interesting for you. bleach was an icon back in the day and many developed from those types of ideas, depending on what you saw until now, some things may be less inpactful but the art, music and coreography of major fights are still great to this day; the best is also yet to come in the new season since all major points get their full exploration in this arc and the fights are just amazing. i may be a fanboy but i always recommend bleach, even with my 25 years of anime watching. the reason i suggested the manga is because it is more graphic and even the author was displeased by changes here and there.

omg yall's theories are so far off but its exciting to hear your theories thou :) ( im on opening 12 btw) btw in this show demons are giant monsters. so Asta our MC isn't a demon in anyway. sadly the anime will say demon but its changed later on. also the characters all have grimiores which is where they're spells come from. well all but one person which will be obvious. our two main character are like brothers but they're still rivals! episode 1 will explain a little about what's going on with Asta. sadly you wont know the full story until deep into the anime. i loved the reaction, and i'm down to watch you two react to black clover :) plus its a good time to catch up since the anime is on hiatus (till 2023 and there's only 170 episodes)

I really like BC, it's like an underdog anime because it wasn't season, they made it long running so the animation is not always top noch and other stuff but it really perseveres and gets real good. Maybe when you finish Fruits Basket you could try it. Although I'm also in favour of Bleach given it's coming back. Well, Bleach will be divided into seasons for its return and BC won't get a new anime probably until the manga's finished, but we do have a movie on March 31st (Teaser trailer released today in fact, so great timing for this video) so I'll let you decide which one should go first.

So, to help explain all of the color swapping… Obviously, everyone is born with a “natural” eye color and “natural” hair color (but it’s anime so it’s not IRL natural obv). MC was born with green eyes and white hair. MC’s “bromance” was born with gold eyes and black hair. As you guys deduced, everyone in this world has a “magic book”, aka what’s known as a “grimoire”. Essentially, it stores magic spells and determines the magical capacity of each individual person. Some grimoires are thin, some thick, some large and some small, etc. Each grimoire contains it’s own magic, no two grimoires are the exact same, and the GRIMOIRE chooses it’s wielder, not the other way around. If the grimoire doesn’t choose you, then you can’t use the magic stored inside of it. (When a person dies, the grimoire turns into mana and disperses back into the environment to await a new wielder.) Magic grows alongside it’s wielder, their work ethic, and their creativity, more-or-less. So, James was right: there aren’t actually angels (not yet anyways; manga is still on-going so it’s always possible). There are just certain magical powers and abilities that allow people to fly. For example, one of the characters that appeared a few times in the OPs has “wing magic”, and can give herself (and others) temporary angel wings. Let’s call this kind of spell a “transformation” spell; matter of point is, a lot of characters have wing-based transformation spells that allow them to fly. So, again, James was right. MC and his “bromance” both have wing-based transformation spells. MC turns into what looks like a demon, and “bromance” turns into what looks like a fairy prince. Sometimes, transformation spells alter a character’s physical appearance. MC, while using his demonic transformation spell, grows one horn, has one green eye turn red, gets that black demonic marking across said eye, grows a wing, and has half his head of hair turn black; all on the right half of his body, the “demon” half. “Bromance”, while using his fairy prince transformation spell, grows a wing, has one gold eye turn green, materializes half a crown, materializes an arm-brace-thingy, and has half his head of hair turn green; all on the left side of his body. Other characters can do similar transformations, too. So I hope that helps clear up some of the color confusion. 🤗

Ok super generalized Synopsis Two orphan brother decide to have the same goal of becoming wizard king (military head of their country) to show that even those that come from the poorest of backgrounds can be something in life. The two brothers are selected by two different squads and take on missions to increase their standing in the kingdom all the while supporting their foster family/orphanage back in the boonies. the thing is that the mc that is asta has no magic and he cant control any magic particles....and the thing is the books shown in anime are known as grimoire ...the most powerful grimoire is the wizard king's and the four leaf clover grimoire which the other main guy on the broom named yuno has ....and asta got the five leaf clover and each leaf of the clover represents a certain thing thats the four leaf represents good luck and in the five leaf clover resides a devil...and the devil in asta is named liebe and he is of same age as asta and looks like him too which is shown at the last opening...the fun fact is that devil was kicked out of its dimennsion to the human world because he was the weakest of all and possesed no magic and later asta's mother adopted him ....and they loved eachother as a mother and a son..but few days later the strongest devil appeared and killed asta's mother and before dying she put liebe into the five leaf clover and he was frustated because in front him asta's mother died to whom he loved the most....so in rage and frustation he vowed that he would kill all other devils and gains the power of anti magic and later when asta got that book he also gains the same power and in the 168-170 they faced of other and the devil got to know that asta is the son of richita(asta and liebe's mother) but asta had no idea about who was his mother and father because he grew up with yuno in an orphanage..................................ok i stop right here guys you gotta watch this anime .....its a masterpiece
