DX Revive is hands down the best plugin for giving badly recorded audio a boost. But dialogue isloate is quite good as a companion app, as in that it's quite effective in cleaning up certain sounds like clothing rubbing.

The only thing which you might like or not is that DXRevive adds a sound to the restored voice. Its less natural and differs from the original, but then, it does sound good.

I used iZotope RX 10 Advanced in conjunction with Adobe Audition 2024 and everything worked normally. This week I decided to update the RX to version 11, however, the audio volume during playback is very low. Previously I played the audio opened in Adobe Audition to the RX 10 through the RX Connect plugin and when playing this audio on the RX the volume was the same. Now with version 11 of RX the audio is played at a much lower volume. I accessed the RX 11 settings and verified that there are now controls to adjust the audio output volume, I adjusted these controls to 0dB, but even so the volume is much lower than in Adobe Audition. Can you tell me what could be causing this problem? I wouldn't want to have to go back to version 10 of RX.

It's good, one friend of mine has it but he puts much loudness in songs, he makes all waveforms so flat and distorted. Loudness optimization I think it cuts basic frequencies of songs, for example it cuts many peaks and makes song more "hard". Also he uses a lofi eq to eq match the songs.

I hate to be this guy, but that first test of Dialogue Isolate is a bit flawed. I pulled the Audio and checked on my own system; first thing I noticed is the weird 'gating' artifact after the word "extractor". I'm assuming it is his CPU struggling to run it. I can't replicated that dropout using those exact settings on that audio. The second thing is, Dialogue Isolate does way more attenuation than Clarity or Supertone clear, so with the settings shown in this comparison, Dialogue Isolate is doing significantly more attenuation. He's also not using DeReverb with Clarity in that example yet he's reducing reverb with RX. You can see it in the RX Spectral Analyzer how much more Dialogue Isolate is removing the Broadband Noise. To sort of match his Clarity VX, I had to pull back Dialogue Isolates Noise Reduction to like -21 to be comparable to Clarity VX's -91.9% he had set. So there's going to be more artifacting. Personally, I liked dxRevive in that example though.

Great observation. However I am looking at the review in the time perspective. How fast I can achieve the best results as quick as possible.

@@torre-calendacion I think Izotope should have scaled their vertical slider differently so that a larger portion of the slider takes up a smaller reduction range. They should have also made the multiband processing such that 100% is in the middle, and it ranges from 0-200%. That way you could push a band higher if you need more reduction at that band. Otherwise, you have to go to the reduction slider, pull it down just a tiny bit because of how it's scaled (or type in a number), then go back to the other 'three' multibands and reduce them an equivalent amount. Which is not an efficient workflow. Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm surprised nobody brought this up in their beta testing? It's a UX/UI shortcoming as opposed to the algorithm. I think most people respond better to the giant knobs of Clarity and Supertone Clear in which those give you a wider range of motion with less reduction, so it's easier to really dial it in how you want. Don't get me wrong, it's awesome Dialogue Isolate can dig in much deeper in some cases, and it sounds pretty good, but I'm not a fan of the UI/UX. Hell, their own Repair Assistant gets this correct; 50% reduction in the Repair Assistant, which uses Dialogue Isolate, is equivalent to only -15dB of reduction in Dialogue Isolate. And we can also delta the noise in the Repair Assistant, but not the Dialogue Isolate Module? And they should also have given a High Quality Mode toggle in the Repair Assistant instead of making you open up the module chain, as there is a actually a noticeable difference between the two modes.

@@billpodolak7754 No idea, I just like to see shiny new tools lol! I’m on Ozone 10 Advanced, didn’t see a reason to upgrade to 11, and the performance improvements they made with 10 are gone in 11, so I’m thinking upgrading every two or so years might be a solid idea (came from Ozone 8 before 10), but if there are no performance improvements in 12, I’m not interested. I probably have all the tools I will ever need anyway, to be honest.

The problem with making “update” promises is I’ve lost trust in the Native instruments world. You don’t know if you will find yourself having to pay for things to work as intended. Overpriced and insulting for what you get in this update.

Upgrade is hefty but people pay for something if they know it is worth it. I use RX Advanced to mix three television series and it is irreplaceable. The test is flawed as the quality on RX is set to good - not best. I would never use "good' in the real world over "best' We are hearing results after using the plug in at 50% of its capabilities. Just seems awkwardly skewed to me. Then I see the segment is 'SPONSORED' by a product that is deemed better than the product being reviewed??
