This is probably one of the best-sounding modern songs out there, in my opinion. No offense to modern music, but most of it just doesn't have soul to it. This song definitely has soul, and it's organic. I thought this song was from the 80's when I first heard it, but I looked it up and realized it was new. I keep coming back to listening to this and it is possible I always will. This song has all that is required for a timeless classic. Catchy hooks, hitting on relatable themes, isn't so on the nose with current pop culture references to be irrelevant in a decade or later, not delving too far into any extreme musically or lyrically as to be offensive to the ears or sensibilities.
