Mirdproductions I went through the same thing with _this_ song and a few others. ✔ I used to work at Sheetz (cashier) and we were a very busy store so when this song would come on our overhead speakers (satellite), I could hear the tune and hear them singing but couldn't hear the lyrics, & I could never get away from the register, to hear them. I think it took me 2 or 3 months before I managed to clearly hear the 1st line of the chorus. I wrote it down and Googled it as soon as I got home. I had to do the same thing with Keane's "Silenced by the night" and Tegan & Sara's "I'm not your hero", lol.

I lost her a little over two months ago , however this song helps me keep my chin up and reminds me of the great times we had together . 16 years almost 17 together and I feel like a lucky man to have had the love I did with her . I miss you brown eyes , here's to you. One day I will know the secret and see you again!

Lyrics: I want to live where soul meets body And let the sun wrap its arms around me, And bathe my skin in water cool and cleansing And feel... feel what it's like to be new. 'Cause in my head There's a Greyhound station Where I send my thoughts To far-off destinations So they may have a chance Of finding a place where they're Far more suited than here. I cannot guess what we'll discover When we turn the dirt with our palms cupped like shovels, But I know our filthy hands can wash one another's And not one speck will remain. I do believe it's true That there are roads left in both of our shoes, But if the silence takes you Then I hope it takes me too. So brown eyes, I'll hold you near, 'Cause you're the only song I want to hear. A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere. Where soul meets body. Where soul meets body. Where soul meets body. And I do believe it's true That there are roads left in both of our shoes, But if the silence takes you Then I hope it takes me too. So brown eyes, I'll hold you near, 'Cause you're the only song I want to hear. A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere. A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere. I always thought they were strange names for bands but my 13 year old brain couldn’t comprehend rock at the time. I was listening to Gucci Mane/rap and Drum & Bass at the time. Everything was hype hype hype when I was younger. Now at 25, I’ve explored many different musical avenues and now just going back in time to hear what the noise was. Turns out some of these melancholic indie songs were relatable and there was much more than just rap. Thanks Mr. Giuliano. "So brown eyes I'll hold you near, cuz you're the only song I want to hear." Lmao I'm 16 and I love death cab for cutie/the postal service. I was raised in a hippie family so I got exposed to a lot of really great music at a very young age. Even so I still love my edm and such, and I worship music from video games (Splatoon has some great stuff, with multiple fictional bands and different music genres in the game. From rock to metal, to weird synth noises with lyrics in a non-existent language) But coming back to these songs from my young childhood, before my life changed so fucking much, is really amazing.

@Justin Rios bullshit, music is medicine. Depression is the deactivation of neuronal activity and chemical changes often brought about through big life changes. Music, particularly music that you enjoy releases endorphins and oxytocin that can elevate your mood and sense of well being. It absolutely can help with depression.
