Hi, I have a very similar pair of whites. Cutter 350 lace to toe. Sole is the exact same as the pair you just did. Now I’d like a quote on removing the outer sole and heel and having black Christy soles put on. But keeping my stitching the same unless that not possible. Great work by the way

Thanks, if you're wanting to get a quote you can email us at shoes@unsung.house. That way we can talk through exactly what you want to have done.

Good work but why does the customer want to remove a trademark of a quality work boot?!

Awesome video, and the music was great too. Got a question: Because white's are handsewn, so the stitching holes aren't in exactly the same distance from each, does it mean that you punched new wholes in the upper (I understand that's the rolled out upper, and not the separate welt)? Please correct me if I am wrong, thanks.

Whites stock welt style is a turned out upper with an extra piece of leather that's welted through the upper and the footbed, and then folded over and stitched through the outsole. This particular customer wanted to keep that style of welt but make the Stitchdown portion more narrow by sanding away the outer stitch line on the boots, rather than converting to flat welt. We're recording a video of a more traditional whites boots resole right now so there will be visual accompaniment in the next couple weeks to see how they do it originally!

My brother is telling me maybe I didn't fully answer your question. As far as I know whites welt is hand sewn but the outsoles are stitched by a curved needle outsole stitcher, which is what I used in the video to stitch the new soles on. This customer wanted to fit more stitches per inch on the welt so I attempted to double the stitches per inch so I could effectively use the old stitch holes but add another stitch in between the old holes. Let me know if this is still unclear, sorry this is sort of a complex idea to try to explain without visuals haha

Could you possibly share a link on the inside the boot tack tool? The one with the black ball handle. Please
