Nice trip! Were you on the duck or hog island? Does it need a big minus tide to forage clam?
@TheLostAnchovy2 жыл бұрын
Yes you need to have a minis tide before the clam beds are exposed

How big is that PVC clamming tube?
@sg-mx4ii2 жыл бұрын
If you hit the ground with a paddle most of the clams will squirt so they can be easily found.
@TheLostAnchovy2 жыл бұрын
Yah it’s easy to find them. It’s hard to get them!! Or at least capture them. Haha

@@TheLostAnchovy we used to use 3 foot dowel rods to see how deep they were before digging them up. If the dowel went to far down we'd leave them alone. If it was shallow...Game on!

Quoc are you part owner of california canoe and kayak? Btw if you have super long arms you can target geoducks out of tomales bay. My avatar is me holding my son and 2 geoducks. I also get razor clams out of tomales as well.

@@TheLostAnchovy I had one huge one years ago where I got my hand underneath him but still couldn't get the darn thing out of the hole. The top of the shell almost hit my elbow so it was one big clam. Needless to say I looked like you doing my best to dislodge that clam, but he won as the hole caved in.
